openssh 2.5.2p2/Solaris 5.8 problems
openssh 2.5.2p2 on Solaris 8 has PAM/cron problems. If I build it with PAM
then cron quits working giving "cron audit problem." errors. If I turn
PAM off then cron works but I get kicked out of any session where a password
is needed (i.e. no .rhosts/.shosts or not using ssh-agent) with the message
"Connection closed by IP#". I get through if I have a .rhosts/.shosts or use

[LLVMdev] LLVM load instruction query
Ok, so there is a general segfault. You can use a tool for detecting seg
fault, but better try to use the "return false" statement in your pass. I
assume you have your code into runOnFunction or runOnModule. So check with
return false where the program crashes. identify the statement that is
causing the segfault. The most common segfaults in LLVM are due

hung SSH on Solaris when starting Oracle
Another instance of OpenSSH 2.9p1 hanging on exit. This occurs when
connecting to a Solaris 8 box (both from other Solaris 8 hosts and
from Linux hosts, all using OpenSSH 2.9p1). This problem doesn't appear
to involve active background jobs; it is not fixed by either the
bash fix listed in the FAQ or by zsh's "setopt HUP". I do not see
the hang-on-exit behavior with the

ssh with iptables and equalize
Hi everyone,
I have a configuration for a router that load-balances between two ISPs.
What happens is that if a source-destination combination is looked up, one
of the two gateways will be chosen, and further lookups will stay on that
gateway until the chosen combination "stales" out. Web browsing works,
ftp works, kazaa and other applications work. ssh on windows (using
putty) works.

Definately. But is it the client or the server?
I've sent it to the portable OpenSSH bug address.
I'm using OpenSSH 2.5.2p2-1.7 on a RedHat 7.0 with all updates.
Sometimes I can login fine, and sometimes I can't. It actually seems to
almost alternate,

I would recommend you first try to create a complete reproducible
example (the code below is just a snippet). Then try to minimize it -
make it do as little as possible but still trigger the bug. Then try to
reduce the number of packages used.

Regarding R's png device in linux
Hi,
I am a developer from Oracle. I wanted to create a png file out of png device with a bit depth of 8. I am using R on linux. But I noticed that R automatically switches between 8 and 24 bit depth. i tried a lot of things from your grDevices package but unable to control the bitdepth. I would be really grateful to you guys if you can suggest me some way to solve this issue.

[8.0p1] After the remote ssh command execution, the session does not terminate until an active disconnect
Hi,
We recently upgraded OpenSSH from 7.5p1 to 8.0p1, and received a report
that there was a behavioral differences where the ssh session did not
disconnect after a remote background command execution. For example, "ssh
user at example.com 'tail -f /var/xxx &'
After looking at the debug logs and comparing the code, it seems there was
a bug in the portable version during the
