Skey with OpenSSH 2.2.0
Hi, I need to setup OpenSSH on a AIX host with skey support. I have search this mailing list archive and try all incarnation of skey lib, but couldn't get openssh to compile with skey support on a non openbsd system without pam support. Even on my Linux box, I can't get it to compile. Could someone give me an URL of a ready to compile skey lib that will work for me ? Or tell me how to

Makefile dependencies
Hi, the openssh_cvs Makefile includes the following rules: $(LIBSSH_OBJS): config.h $(LIBOPENBSD_COMPAT_OBJS): config.h but no equivalent for $(LIBSSHD_OBJS) - is this desired or an oversigt? In my case, I built the sshd, tested it, reconfigured with SKEY support, rebuilt (just running "make", no "make clean"), and tracked down the non-working s/key for a while before I

Very slow execution of programs from a SAMBA share
Hi. I've run into a significant performance problem, where Samba shares are fine except for programs executed from the shares, which take about 100x longer to launch than expected. Copying local Windows directories with large files to the Samba share is getting 30 Mbytes/second. However, trying to run programs from the same samba share is taking 30 seconds to 5 minutes to launch the

What is the trick to get Postfix's local command to pipe mail through procmail? I have: -bash-4.1$ grep allow_mail_to_commands /etc/postfix/main.cf allow_mail_to_commands = alias, forward and -bash-4.1$ cat .forward |/usr/bin/procmail and a .procmailrc file: -bash-4.1$ cat .procmailrc PATH=/usr/bsd:/bin:/usr/bin:/exp/rcf/share/bin MAILDIR=/var/lib/amanda/Mail #you'd better

I''m a new puppet user. I can''t puppetmasterd to start. I searched this group for the error message I get, but found nothing. Any ideas? maptools package
A few years back, I wrote some code to plot maps with the maptools package. Now I am trying to reproduce my results, only to find out that maptools has been updated and my code no longer works. I've been able to fix the first part of it by forcing spb <- maptools:::read.shape("/home/sasha/Documents/maps/spb.shp") (as read.shape has been deprecated) but now when I do plot(spb,

Last S/Key thing to consider...
What is everyone's opinion on reverting back to the OpenBSD's auth-skey.c which uses S/Key's sha1.h and libskey.a instead of OpenSSL. Personally it does not matter to me. I would perfer to revert back myself to reduce the differences between the two code trees. (Or if OpenBSD could pick up the changes. Either way.) I've already sent a patch to the person doing the portable

OPIE support patch
I just cobbled up a little patch to add support for OPIE to OpenSSH. Currently untested, but feedback is welcome. portaudit
Any reason why portaudit and its associated infrastructure was not announced to this list or security-notifications? I recently discovered it, and discovered the feature was added to bsd.port.mk in the beginning of feburary. Seeing as the security officer apparently (without announcement) no longer issues security notices (SNs) for ports, I am assuming that portaudit has replaced SNs entirely,

CentOS 5.3 host not seeing storage device
Maybe one of you has experienced something like this before. I have a host running CentOS5.3, x86_64 version with the standard qla2xxx driver. Both ports are recognized and show output in dmesg but they never find my storage device: qla2xxx 0000:07:00.1: LIP reset occured (f700). qla2xxx 0000:07:00.1: LIP occured (f700). qla2xxx 0000:07:00.1: LIP reset occured (f7f7). qla2xxx 0000:07:00.0: LOOP

Integrating Dovecot with Amazon Web Services
I did some searching in the mail archives and didn't see any discussion of integration with AWS, so I wanted to through out my thoughts/plans and see if it has been done before. I am setting up my own personal website on EC2 along with an email server, and I really don't like the idea of using the disk drive as permanent mail storage. EBS is too small instance storage is ephermeral.

performing operations on a dataframe
Hey all, I feel like the solution to this problem should be relatively simple, but for some reason I can't find answers or come up with my own solution. Given the dataframe: (SpA and SpB not important, want to look at distribution of cooccurance for each year) Year SpA SpB Coocc 2000 0 2000 2 2000 1 2001 8 2001 2 2001 0 2001 0 2002 1 2002 2 How can I apply different functions to

Euclidean distance function
Hi, I should preface this problem with a statement that although I am sure this is a really easy function to write, I have tried and failed to get my head around writing functions in R. I can use R where functions exist to do what I want done, but have found myself completely incapable of writing them myself. The problem is that I have a table with several rows of species and several columns of

df does not show full volume capacity after update to 3.12.4
Amar, Thanks for your prompt reply. No, I do not plan to fix the code and re-compile. I was hoping it could be fixed with setting the shared-brick-count or some other option. Since this is a production system, we will wait until a fix is in a release. The values for shared-brick-count are still the same. I did not re-start the volume after setting the cluster.min-free-inodes to 6%. Do I need to restart it?
