[PATCH] also look for host-prefixed ar
This patch changes configure.ac to look for '${host}-ar' as set by AC_CANONICAL_HOST before looking for the unprefixed 'ar'. This is useful when cross-compiling when all your binutils are prefixed. I used AC_CHECK_TOOLS instead of AC_CHECK_TOOL, since autoconf docs say that the former calls AC_SUBST. Applies to OpenSSH portable 6.3p1 --- configure.ac | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1

[patch] 3.7.1p2: slogin symlink fixes
Hello, There are three small problems with the "slogin" and "slogin.1" symlinks created upon installation: 1. "./" is included in the target path unnecessarily. 2. Symlinks are assumed to be available, while only hardlinks could. 3. EXEEXT is not respected for slogin. Here is a fix for both problems -- the "./" is simply removed, EXEEXT is added, the

Patch to detect perl using autoconf
For systems that don't have perl at /usr/bin/perl, fixpaths doesn't run. I've added a check in configure.in to find where perl is and use it to run fixpaths. 1. Add support for files >2GB via Paul Eggert's AC_SYS_LARGEFILE macro. This macro is now part of autoconf 2.50. Because of this, "config.h" needs to be included before system headers to get the appropriate defines for LFS support. openbsd-compat/sigact.c configure.in acinclude.m4 2. [PATCH] Adding BSD compatible install script to 1.2pre14.
Hi, This patch adds a BSD compatible install script (copied from gcc-2.95.2) to 1.2pre14. The script has a X-style license. The script will be used if configure doesn't find a proper install program on the system. Remember to run autoconf and set execute (755) permissions for install-sh when the patch has been applied. -- Niels Kristian Bech Jensen -- nkbj at image.dk --

[PATCH] libxl/build: print a pretty message if flex/bison are needed but not found
This patchs adds better support for both Flex and Bison, which might be needed to compile libxl. Now configure script sets BISON and FLEX Makefile vars if bison and flex are found, but doesn''t complain if they are not found. Also, added some Makefile soccery to print a nice error message if Bison or Flex are needed but not found. Please run autogen after applying this patch.

Call for testing for coming 2.9 release.
If we can get people to test their platforms against the last snapshot/cvs tree I'd be greatful. (http://www.openssh.com/portable.html) I know NeXT platform has problems. I'm going to spend tonight looking at it. Also, take a moment to see what manpage type ./configure decided for your system and if it's 'cat' please let us know. Thanks. - Ben

building NUT on Mac OS X Yosemite

BSafe toolkits for implementing RSA public key algorithm
Has anyone had any experience with any of the BSafe toolkits that are available and contain support for the RSA public key algorithms? I would like to use one of RSA's toolkits in a port of a Windows OpenSSH client that I am working on, in order to avoid any licensing issues from RSA. Can anyone recommend a good toolkit? I understand that there a number of them, such as BSafe SSL-C, SLPlus,

[PATCH nbdkit 2/2] vddk: Drive library loading from libdir parameter.
Do not use LD_LIBRARY_PATH to locate the VDDK library. Setting this always causes problems because VDDK comes bundled with broken replacements for system libraries, such as libcrypto.so and libstdc++.so. Two problems this causes which we have seen in the real world: (1) User does ‘export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=vmware-vix-disklib-distrib’ and that breaks lots of ordinary utilities on their system. (2)

using gnulib from daemon/
Hi Rich, Prompted by your "New commands to list devices by UUID and label" patch, I've adjusted it to use gnulib. While just compiling hash.[ch] is probably ok, in general (given the strict requirements of libguestfs) using the C files of a module is usually not an option, since you don't get the benefit of the module's m4 tests or automake snippets. For other modules,
