Problem compiling on HP-UX 10.20
I am having a problem compiling R on an HP-UX 10.20 system using gcc/g77 compiler. It appears to compile without problems until it gets to the lapack module and I get the following error: gcc -I. -I../../../src/include -I../../../src/include -I/usr/local/include -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -D_HPUX_SOURCE -fPIC -O2 -c Lapack.c -o Lapack.lo g77 -fPIC -O2 -c double.f -o double.lo g77 -fPIC -O2 -c cmplx.f

R-beta: Problem with help
I am new to R. Just installed it on an SGI running IRIX5.3. The install seemed to go fine. Some basic commands worked as did the demo(). However, I get the following when trying to run help at the command line in R. > help() Error in gsub(pattern, replacement, x, ignore.case, extended) : POSIX regular expressions not available > My best guess is that configure was unable to find

New snapshot
I have just uploaded a new snapshot to: http://www.mindrot.org/misc/openssh/openssh-SNAP-20001114.tar.gz This snapshot includes Markus Friedl's new SSH2 RSA authentication work and -R portforwarding for SSH2. Please give these a good test. The new RSA authentications works similar to the current SSH2 DSA keys, but requires a little modification to config files. Currently RSA key cannot be

HPUX 10.20 and OpenSSH 3.4.p1
Hello, over the last few days I've been attempting to compile openssh-3.4p1 on a HP j5000 (hpux 10.20) but have run into some problems. I had found the paper from Kevin Steves and have been following his suggested steps. Perl, zlib, prngd, tcp_wrappers and openssl all compiled more or less as he described. The configure script runs without protest but make gets hung up in

sftp
Yo All! I understand why we do not have sftp in openssh, but it would be nice if we could make it so that when an SSH.COM scp2 client makes a connection to an OpenSSH V2 daemon that it does not hang.... Any ideas or do I need to dig a bit on this? Here is what the sshd says when I conenct to it from scp2: debug: session_open: session 0: link with channel 0 debug: confirm session debug:

Portability hacks + alpha HPUX1020 port
Hi, Attached is a patch to 1.2.1pre18 that includes a number of portability changes, and more a more complete HPUX10.20 implementation. Thanks to Ben Taylor's utmpx patch, utmpx and wtmpx support are now in for HP, with a few caveats. It compiles cleanly on HPUX10.20 with gcc, cleanly on Linux, and with a few minor warnings on Solaris 2.6. Most compat changes are made via autoconf which

R-release dynamic load problem on HPUX10.20
Hello, I just pulled the patched release: R-release Version 1.0.0 Patched (March 19, 2000), on HPUX10.2 I am having dynamic library load problems. I configured with: ./configure --prefix=/home/absd00t/local --with-readline --with-x After changing etc/Makeconf to take -lblas out of libs (the blas library provided by the system is not a shared library), system was built without any interruptions.

ssh hang on wrong port - is it a bug ?
Hi, ssh client program seems to hang when specified a wrong port no (port on which some other server, like telnetd is running). "netstat -an" shows the connection is established. I expect the ssh program to report invalid server msg and exit. Is this a bug or known behaviour ??? I have attached the -v -v -v output. Thanks, Hari [hari at linux ssh]$ /usr/bin/ssh -v -v -v -p 23 hari

update config.guess and config.sub to support aarch64
Hello, would it be possible to update config.sub and config.guess to the latest versions (or at least version from automake-1.13.1) in order to support new architectures based on the ARM 64 bit CPU? Patch: http://plautrba.fedorapeople.org/openssh/openssh-latest-config.sub-config.guess.patch Related Fedora bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=926284 Thanks, Petr

[PATCH] ./configure fails to recognize alphapca56 (R-1.1.0)
I think I reported this bug in the past. At that time, I was told that it is a bug of autoconf. ./configure does not recognize Linux on DEC Alpha 21164PC (a cheap version of Alpha EV56), so all the compilation flags were set incorrectly. I don't know the right way to fix it (I don't know how autoconf works yet ...), but the following patch fixes the problem. Thank you, Naoki Naoki

configure: sed: Function s%@PDFLATEX@%/usr/local/bin/pdflatex%g (PR#1222)
Sometimes, configure isn't able to create the makefiles. It produces errors like: sed: Function s%@PDFLATEX@%/usr/local/bin/pdflatex%g cannot be parsed. This happens when I use a combination of arguments to configure like: --prefix=$HOME/R-tst --with-tcl-config=/opt_local/opt/tcl/lib/tclConfig.sh --with-tk-config=/opt_local/opt/tk/lib/tkConfig.sh If I leave out the last two

Scripts not executable (PR#2091)
Running 'make' stops when it tries to build the recommended (included) packages, because the script 'Rcmd' is not executable. I have to do a 'chmod +x src/scripts/*' and rerun 'make'. In version 1.5.1 I also noticed the installed scripts were not executable, but I could do a 'chmod +x lib/R/bin/*' after 'make install'. But now the scripts are

Tcl/Tk and mouse
Within a loop I tried to draw some things in dependency on the position of the mouse. This works fine with R-1.5.1 but R-1.6.1 requires to include some delay by Sys.sleep(delay) with delay>=0.015. For smaller values (e.g. 0.0001) the top level tcltk-window does not appear and so I am not able to control the elements to be plotted using the tcltk-widget. Question1: How can I force
