Could somebody check-in my patch for "scp -L" please?
Hi!
A month ago, I have submitted a simple patch for adding the missing "-L"
option to scp. This option is quite useful for people behind a
firewall.
You can find the archived message containing the patch at:
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=openssh-unix-dev&m=95685065722849&w=2
If there's any issue, please tell me about it. I am willing to help as
much as I can.
Thanks!

Patch to add scp -L option
Here is a patch to scp made against openssh-2.1.1p2 that adds the -L option to
scp. The -L option tells scp to use nonprivilaged ports (by passing ssh the -P
option). The non-free ssh's scp has this option, and it is required under some
firewall setups (like mine) for scp to function.
Please let me know if there are any problems with this patch, or if there is
anything I can do to help get

[PATCH] scp -S support
[Please Cc: me, I'm not on the list]
fsh (http://www.lysator.liu.se/fsh/) is a program that keeps
an ssh tunnel open and multiplexes multiple batch sessions
through that single connection, avoiding slower public key
crypto for things like cvs.
fsh includes an utility called fcp that can multiplex file
copies through this single connection. It relies on scp for
the actual file copying,

[PATCH] Support symlinks in scp of openssh 2
I'm fond of the "-a" (archive) option of cp, and I'm a heavy user of
scp, so I guess it's inevitable that I would eventually add support
for "-a" to scp. :-) Actually, it's a "-L" flag for preserving
symlinks, and a "-a" flag that is shorthand for "-Lpr".
Please let me know if I'm not doing this right.... I made a great

[2.2.0p1] patch to get "scp -S prog" to work right + man page fix
Hi.
This functionality was just added in 2.2.0p1. The patch is self-explanatory.

[PATCH] scp fixes
Hi,
The following patch does two things (which you may choose to take
separatly if you don't like one or t'other). Firstly, I add a -1 and
-2 option, since a) it's convenient b) people keep asking for it c)
it's hardly a big fix, nor does it break backwards compatibility and
d) I don't accept any slippery slope arguments.
Secondly, I check for and ignore filenames with \n in

[PATCH] Let scp accept options -1 and -2
Hi!
Attached is a patch that lets scp accept options -1 and -2 to
conveniently choose the protocol version, as it is already
possible with ssh.
Ciao

[PATCH] Add scp -1 and -2 options to OpenSSH-3.0.2p1
Here is a patch to add the missing scp -1 and -2 options to eliminate
confusion for users familiar with the commercial version of SSH.

[LLVMdev] Google Summer of Code Project Idea
Dear LLVM-Dev,
Your ideas page said that you'd take applications to write new
language frontends for LLVM. I've been in-progress for most of a year
now writing a compiler for my language Deca as a side-project, and I'd
like to make it GSOC project by targeting it at LLVM.
My other commitments are that I've applied to several different REU
programs. If one of them

scp remote path specification
Hello,
in order to use "scp", the scp binary has to be in the compile-time
default path on the remote host. For some users (like root), we try to
avoid this since scp may be on a network file system (AFS/NFS), and we
don't want to hang root's session on network outages.
Would a patch to scp be acceptable in the main tree that allows to set
the path to remote scp explicity,

Erase the source file open; specify a tempfile name option
I'm curious how to go about submitting a suggestion that affects both
the original BSD version and the portable release. A few days ago I
sent off a BSD-relative patch to openssh at openssh.com. Is this the right
thing to do? I didn't hear anything back, but it's only been 3 days, so
I'm probably just being too antsy.
In the meantime, maybe someone else out there would like to

scp -L option
Hi there,
I have a need to have scp pass the -P option to ssh
to "bypass" the packetfilters that doesn't allow connections
to return to arbitary "priviledged" ports, ie. ports <1024.
See attached context sensitive diffs against 2.2.0p1
to please integrate.
Thanx

svyglm
Dear Professor Lumley
I am relatively new to using R and also to logistic regression. We have
analysed our Dudley Health Survey using the survey package. I am now
trying to look at associations using svyglm but I am unsure of how to
interpret the output and present the resulting model or whether there
are any other things I should do to check the validity of the model.
Below is an example of

program-prefix does not work
the configure option --program-prefix does not work although it is
listed in teh configure --help output.
The attached patch fixes these issues:
1) program prefix is not substituted in configure
2) program prefix is not present in Makefile
3) scp requires use of a known "scp" program

[PATCH]: scp program improved
Hi,
I have made a patch which improves scp utility. It adds two new features:
rate limit and resume support. With rate limit it's possible to limit
transfer speed. Resume allows to continue file transfer where it was last
interrupted. Also the progress meter was improved.
Here is my patch, please send comments about it and what I can do better
if there is something to fix.
