ANNOUNCE: openssh-1.2.1pre18
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have just uploaded 1.2.1pre18. This is mainly merges from the OpenBSD tree, bugfixes for Solaris and libc5 Linux systems. It should fix all reported bugs except the snprintf problems on some older Solaris versions. Please test thoroughly, my hope is to have a stable version released before Jan 1. At this point the main holdup is Solaris. I have

Strange interaction of sftp and protocol version 1
As I read the manpage, you need to enable Subsystems to have the server support them. [...] Subsystem Configures an external subsystem (e.g., file transfer daemon). Arguments should be a subsystem name and a command to execute up? on subsystem request. The command sftp-server(8) implements the ``sftp'' file transfer

Typo in configure.in
Hello! In configure.in from openssh-2.2.0p1 you are using $xno and $xyes several times. However, those variables are not defined. I guess you mean literals "xno" and "xyes" in all those cases. If that's correct please apply the patch at the end of this message. Regards, Pavel Roskin _____________________ --- configure.in Wed Aug 30 18:20:05 2000 +++ configure.in Wed Oct

Misreported values with newhidups
Okay, now that I've got NUT up and running with the newhidups driver, I can give it a quick shakedown. Most of the values look good, but are few are off. Here's what I get: elrond@foxstar:~$ upsc foxstarups@localhost battery.charge: 100 battery.charge.low: 10 battery.charge.warning: 50 battery.date: 3150/08/01 battery.mfr.date: 2005/03/22 battery.runtime: 1935 battery.runtime.low: 120

[UART] GPS 18-5Hz LVC and COM1 silence, OK on Linux though...
Hi, I'm having issues connecting Garmin GPS 18 to COM1 on 9.1, I get nothing but silence. Identical setup works absolutely fine with Linux. I've got PPS wire connected to DCD, but that seems to make no difference on Linux, so I presume it shouldn't affect fbsd either. On Linux, I get: $ uname -a Linux ubuntu 3.8.0-19-generic #29-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 17 18:16:28 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64

Patches to help pre16 run on NetBSD
-lwrap on NetBSD doesn't like not having some of its global variables defined, so linking it to anything but sshd is bad. This patch fixes Makefile.in and configure/configure.in to make this work. SNAP-2000082900: minor configuration detail
Hi! In the INSTALL file, line 159, CFLAGS="-O -m486" LFLAGS="-s" LIBS="-lrubbish" LD="/usr/foo/ld" ./configure "LFLAGS" are mentioned. Probably "LDFLAGS" are meant. The LFLAGS is also used at one place in "configure", please check configure.in:997, I also assume the LDFLAGS was meant, as used correctly in other locations.

smbclient queue no jobs listed
When trying to get a listing of print jobs waiting on a windows print queue nothing is being returned. Any windows client can pull the job list without issue. This system has no problem sending print jobs to the queue. Thank you - newhidups (2.03-pre2) works with my APC BackUPS ES 500
Hi there, I'm one of the maintainers of the SME Server distro (www.contribs.org) and we've been chasing this one for some time: http://www.contribs.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=352 http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2006-January/000543.html Many thanks to Peter Selinger and everyone else who helped with the debugging and patches. Thanks, Gordon

smbclient queue command issue
Help or suggestions please: When using smbclient to handle printing from a AIX system to a windows print queue somethings work and others do not. I have been able to print without issues to the windows print queue. But I cannot get a listing of the print jobs in a print queue. This is important so the UNIX users can take action on thier print jobs. I'm not sure which why to turn at this

Speed bumps on the way to successfully running puppetmasterd on Mac OSX Leopard, try one and two
Hey all, I have recorded my steps towards getting puppet functional through one of the four different methods that I can think of, which are: 1.Source(copying and insatlling to the recommended unix FSH directory, /usr/local/src) 2.pkg hosted at explanatorygap 3.MacPorts 4.RubyGems I haven''t cleanly tested the last two, but here''s where I am with the first two: 1. Uninstall Adobe Acrobat 7.0
Installed a 30 day trial of Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and I'm now trying to "properly" uninstall. I run "uninstaller" and the program shows up in the list of installed programs. In Uninstaller: click on the program description to highlight it and then clicking the Uninstall tab causes the hard drive to wobble about a bit, the program becomes un-highlighted and the uninstaller

warnings building openssh-3.0.2p1 on HP-UX 10.20
I'm getting a number of compiler warnings about type mismatches, building openssh-3.0.2p1 on HP-UX 10.20 with the HP ANSI C compiler. The resulting code seems to work, but spot-checking suggested that some of the warnings are the result of mixing int and u_int types, which might introduce subtle bugs. I figured it might be worth reporting, since I'm in the minority of people not

problems with 1.2pre17 on solaris2.6
On Solaris2.6, I have just run into some problems where using the 1.2pre17 scp to another box with either 1.2pre16 or 1.2pre17 on it. The scp dies with an "Alarm Clock" problem on larger files (the failure case file is a 1297920 byte solaris package.). It does not always die in the same place. openssh-1.2pre17-spa 51% |************** | qd 00:00 ETAAlarm Clock Write

[PATCH] Fixing a couple of small problems in Makefile.in (1.2pre17).
Hi, This patch fixes a couple of small ``problems'' in 1.2pre17 Makefile.in: 1. Avoid making an empty $(libexecdir)/ssh directory. 2. Don't try to uninstall $(mandir)/man1/slogin.1 twice. --- openssh-1.2pre17/Makefile.in~ Thu Dec 9 00:48:58 1999 +++ openssh-1.2pre17/Makefile.in Thu Dec 9 06:51:41 1999 @@ -92,9 +92,9 @@ -rm -f $(mandir)/man1/slogin.1 ln -s ssh.1
