there should be an authorized_keys(5) man page
Hi. On http://openssh.org/manual.html I think there should be authorized_keys(5) known_hosts(5) Can an authorized_keys entry say something like from=192.168.1.32,192.168.1.33 command=/bin/foo ... or do I need to make a separate entry for each IP address? Thanks Dave

why not option to automatically add pub key?
One of the annoyances of ssh is the need to transfer the public key from client machine to server machine, and append to authorized_keys. Although it's simple to do, it's annoying to have to do this manually. Why can't this be automated? ssh offers to add new machine to known_hosts. Why doesn't it offer to add the public key to authorized_keys?

Question about ssh-rsa deprecation notice (was: Announce: OpenSSH 8.2 released)
I am trying to understand the details of the deprecation notice. Because I am getting people asking me questions. And I don't know the answer. Therefore I am pushing the boulder uphill and asking here. :-) Damien Miller wrote: > Future deprecation notice > ========================= > > It is now possible[1] to perform chosen-prefix attacks against the > SHA-1 algorithm for

Feature request: allow chrooted directory writable by others
Hello, I am trying to setup a file server using the SFTP protocol with OpenSSH. I am in trouble because sshd refuses to chroot to a directory that is writable by users other than the owner. I guess that this is to prevent someone else from creating a .ssh/authorized_keys file and impersonate the user. But we have configured an alternative AuthorizedKeysFile. I also understand that a chroot user
