patch to add utmps support for HP-UX 11.23 and above
Starting with 11.23 HP is using utmps as if we didn't already have enough (utmp, wtmp, utmpx, wtmpx,... did I miss any??) . Anyway, I added support for it in (before this patch no logins from ssh were showing up on my 11.23 and 11.31 systems). http://homepage.mac.com/gagnocg/downloads/hpux-cvs.diff

Non-shared storage. Modest guest VM that only requires 100G of disk space; there is far more available. In trying to accomplish even the simplest migration (per every page I can find from both the

inconsistent ut_id values in the utmp(x) file
Hi, In loginrec.c, the 'line' string utility function line_abbrevname() returns the last four characters of the terminal file path. This returned value is assigned to the utmp structure member ut_id[4]. Some sample ut_id values are shown below: /dev/pts/1 will have ut_id set to ts/1 /dev/pts/2 will have ut_id set to ts/2 . . /dev/pts/9 will have ut_id set to ts/9 /dev/pts/10

Trick user to send private key password to compromised host
Hi list, I do not known, if this is really an issue but i noticed that when connecting to a remote ssh host with the standard linux openssh client using a private key, that there is no line of text indicating when the local key-passwd process was completed and the connection session was established. On a compromised host, the login shell could write the line 'Enter passphrase for key

I am having trouble figuring out how to build openssh-5.8p1 for QNX 6.5. I am trying to build on linux, cross-compiling for armv7. If I configure like this: configure CC=ntoarmv7-gcc --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --target=arm-unknown-nto-qnx6.5.0 then I get these errors: sshconnect.o: In function `timeout_connect': sshconnect.c:(.text+0x778): undefined reference to

implicit declaration warnings
Hi, When I tested the latest snapshot on FreeBSD 4.2, I noticed some implicit declaration warnings I didn't recall seeing on Linux. I think this is caused by the fact that if autoconf does detect the presence of some BSD capability, necessary header files and declarations may not be included (as these are assumed to be the same ~everywhere, and already included). If such capability is
