Slower than Courier-IMAP
Hello, I have been running Courier-IMAP for while now, and I decided that I'd like to try Dovecot. This paper: http://student.iu.hio.no/~s132278/reports/disney_imap_maildir.pdf says that the performances are somewhat comparable, but my Dovecot "feels" slower than Courier-IMAP. I am using Maildirs and I have substantial amounts of emails in them. For example one of the folder has

Compiling openssh-4.0p1 on Solaris 10.
I am trying to compile OpenSSH 4.0p1 on a new Solaris 10 system using the OpenSSL that comes w/ the OS (0.9.7d) as well as MIT Krb5 1.4.1 (for various reasons we are not using Sun's Krb5 implementation): ./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-kerberos5=/usr/local/krb5 --with-ssl-dir=/usr/sfw And it looks to be bombing here (adding in random support?): -=- gmake[1]: Entering directory

Supermicro PDSME+ and TE110P
Hello all, Has anyone use the Supermicro PDSME+ in combination with the TE110P successfully? My experience so far is not very good. I am running trixbox 2.0 but: 1) with zttool I am getting IRQ Misses. Don't seem to have IRQ conflict, but I am now running my SATA HD in DMA. And I am not able to set it in DMA(HIO... operation not permitted) 2) With zttool the Alarm is RED 3) When I do the

Improvement of SignRank functions
I took some time and liberty and tried to improve existing implementation of SignRank functions in R. (dsignrank, ...) As I have seen they've been based on csignrank. So I modified csignrank and, I believe, improved calculation time and memory efficiency. The idea is basically the same. I use the same recursion as original author used with one slight modification. I am generating Wilcoxon

zeros to NA's - faster
Hello, Is there a faster way to do this? Basically, I'd like to NA all values in all_data if there are no 1's in the same column of the other matrix, iu. Put another way, I want to replace values in the all_data columns if values in the same column in iu are all 0. This is pretty slow for me, but works: all_data = matrix(c(1:9),3,3) colnames(all_data) =

openssh portable and libressl portable cause recursion between arc4random and RAND_bytes
Hi, Yesterday I tried to replace the system openssl in a gentoo system with libressl. With openssh an interesting issue popped up: * RAND_bytes in libressl calls arc4random * arc4random is a compat function both in openssh and libressl * arc4random from openssh uses RAND_bytes So what's happening is a recursion. arc4random wants to use RAND_bytes and RAND_bytes wants to use arc4random. Hide unreadable, strange problem
The "hide unreadable = yes" option gives strange results with samba 3.x. Everything works fine when the server runs as a domain controller. Users see the directories they are supposed to (unix group permission) in the share. Turning off domain control and setting "security = DOMAIN", however, hides every directory in the share unless you are an admin user. I can cd to the

Adaptec 39320A woes
I'm having speed problems with the SCSI card we're using to do tape backup. It seems to be functioning in 16 bit mode and the current thinking is that perhaps it's using a legacy driver instead of the correct one. The Adaptec site has a 'driver' for RHEL5 which I've downloaded and tried to install but it seems to have a problem installing on a CentOS-5 system. [root at

klibc 1.5.21-1 and mksh
tags 516774 = patch tags 516294 = upstream thanks Hi! Please find attached a diff closing #516774 by adding mkstemp(3), again with a minimalistic pseudo-arc4random(3) behind it. I?ve revisited the code. An mkstemp testsuite from the ?net shows it works, except for not caring how many ?X?en are in the template. Addressing #516294, it allows compiling and linking an mksh from today?s CVS against
