Hi all, I am trying to compile Rgraphiz on Windows 7 64bit with R-2.13.0. I have installed Rtools213.exe from [1]. The 64bit packages in [2] provided me with the 64 bit version of graphviz. You are right and the problem is solved. Re: about the possible errors in Rgraphviz Package
Hi Martin, It is really a 'PATH' problem. After adding C:\Program Files\Graphviz2.20\bin to the 'PATH' environment variable, the Rgraphviz package can be loaded without any error messages. Sorry that I ONLY set my 'PATH' environment variable correctly for R but not for Graphviz. Thank you and Duncan so much for your great help. Howard On Tue Mar 30 18:12:54

Managing DLLs with the same names in an R session
I am having a problem using two DLLs with the same name, but obviously located in different directories, in an R session. The troublesome package is the (Bioconductor) Rgraphviz package. It relies on (3rd party software) graphviz and imports functions from (Bioconductor) package graph. Unfortunately, the current stable release of graphviz for Windows

Rgraphviz and R 2.9 in ubuntu jaunty
Dear people, I'm new here, so this is my first try. I have ubuntu 9.04 installed with R 2.8 (which surprises me because I realized that the last version R 2.9 is available but in the Synaptic Package Manager 2.8 appears as the last one). I have also graphviz 2.20.2. I have been trying to install Rgraphviz either from R running "biocLite("Rgraphviz")" and from the shell

linewidth in Rgraphviz
I'm an Rgraphviz newbie trying to figure out how to do some things/whether they are possible. Apparently graphviz does allow you to modify line widths of edges: see https://mailman.research.att.com/pipermail/graphviz-interest/2001q2/000051.html (although it looks a little obscure even in graphviz). [As discussed in the thread above, the "weight" parameter in Rgraphviz sets the

Newbie - how do I debug a crash of RGUI.EXE
Hi- I'm running Vista64 Business and trying to use a package called RGraphViz. Unfortunately, when I try to plot a graph using this package it causes RGUI.EXE to crash. This package has no problem working in WinXP 32-bit. Is there any way to get useful information as to why it crashes? package Rgraphviz or similar
Hello R users I am looking for a package to visualize "relatively planar" directed graphs, with say 100 nodes and specified using an adjacency list. 'Rgraphviz', currently listed on the R-FAQ, seemed suitable (FAQ version 2.9.2009-06-05) But when I looked for the package, I found it had been recently "removed" and was instead directed to archive copies

loadNamespace and useDynLib
I am considering a package with a namespace (Rgraphviz from Bioc). I essentially want to have some error handling for loading the dll, something like wrapping it into tryCatch or similar (reason: see below). Right now I am loading the dynamic libraries by useDynLib in my NAMESPACE file. When I look at the code from loadNamespace, I have the impression that what I want is impossible

install.packages() and configure.args
Hi, In the case where install.packages("packageA") also needs to install required package "packageB", then what is passed thru the 'configure.args' argument seems to be lost when it's the turn of packageA to be installed (the last package to get installed). This is not easy to reproduce but let's say you have the graphviz libraries installed on your system,
