unicorn 0.93.4 - *BSD stdio compatibility
Unicorn is a HTTP server for Rack applications designed to only serve
fast clients on low-latency, high-bandwidth connections and take
advantage of features in Unix/Unix-like kernels. Slow clients should
only be served by placing a reverse proxy capable of fully buffering
both the the request and response in between Unicorn and slow clients.

Read error: #<TypeError: can't modify frozen string> raised from HttpParser
Hey guys,
Started running unicorn in a production server like two weeks ago.

GPLv3 + MySQL + Rails
just wondering, if anyone has translated the GPL and MySQL AB legalese
into real-world scenarios. it seems unclear what ''derivative'' or
''linked'' or ''distribute'' means - how much IPC or TCP traffic do you need
before two components are as ''linked'' in terms of functionality as a
dynamically loaded library? if you are

[LLVMdev] Building clang/llvm without libstdc++ or GPLv3 tools/libraries
Greetings!!!
Could you please suggest ways to build clang/llvm without libstdc++?
In short, to avoid using GPLv3 libraries or tools while building clang/llvm.
Thank you in advance.

[LLVMdev] Building clang/llvm without libstdc++ or GPLv3 tools/libraries
Thank Ismail for quick reply.
I read that Linux, we need to build...
(1) libcxx (without libcxxabi) ==> done
(2) build libcxxabi ==> failing with following error
(3) and then re-build libcxx
By the way I am building libcxx and libcxxabi Out-of-tree llvm build.
Please correct me if I am missing something.
Thank you.

GPLv3 and Mac OS X
This may have been raised before and if so I apologise for not being able to find it.
I was wondering if someone on the list can please explain the relationship that GPLv3 has in preventing Apple from distributing updated builds with their operating systems. I've read over the GPLv3 (I'm not lawyer or anything) and I would guess it has something to do with the patent agreements?
I'll

modifying the DB while iterating is user error, right?
Hello, I noticed a problem with DatabaseCorruptError exceptions
with public-inbox and I guess it's user error...
The problem is public-inbox was calling replace_document to
modify the DB while iterating through a PostingIterator. At
first I thought it was a glass problem, but I've hit it with
chert on my dataset, too.
I have a standalone Perl script to reproduce the problem at

tables with Unicode box drawing characters?
Hello,
I read David Wheeler's table proposal[1] for Markdown and very much
agree with his conclusion and PostgreSQL-inspired proposed format. I
also read the mailing list archives for 2009 but did not find any
clear concesus on whether DW's format was officially accepted (I hope
it is soon!).
However, I want to ask: has anyone considered taking these simple
ASCII table drawings to the

Fwd: [PATCH (geoip)] use IO.pread from the io-extra lib if possible
I sent this to the author of geoip a few days ago and haven''t heard
back, yet. Since he may be on vacation or busy, somebody may also hit
this problem in the mean time, I figured I''d post the patch + git
repo I sent him here.

How to copy just some subdirectories using filter rules
Hi, I always find the same problem when trying to properly configure
my remote backups so have decided to ask here since, surely, I miss
something :)
I just want to copy some directories (and their full content) from a
server to my PC. This is what I "try" to use:
rsync -vv -a --relative --delete --force --delete-excluded \
--include-from=/etc/backup.filter \

[PATCH] examples/nginx.conf: add ipv6only comment
IPv4 addresses started looking very ugly the first time I got
IPv6 working on bogomips.org. In case somebody else can''t stand
how IPv4-mapped-IPv6 addresses look, the workaround is to use
two listeners and ensure the IPv6 one is ipv6only.
Unicorn itself supports IPv6, too, but nobody uses/needs it.
I''ll add :ipv6only support shortly (probably tomorrow).

[PATCH] close client socket after closing response body
I am wondering if there are any apps affected by this bug (and
perhaps keeping people from switching Unicorn).
It''s a fairly esoteric case, so I probably won''t make another release
until tomorrow (sleepy now, will probably screw something else up
or realize something else is broken :)
Anyways it''s pushed out to master and 1.1.x-stable in case people

IDLE dropping EXISTS events on mass message arrival
Hi, I'm not sure if this is some throttling/DoS protection or a bug. I
didn't see notice anything like it mentioned looking at the NEWS file
from hg, this is on 2.1.7 on Debian stable.
I have a client doing IDLE on INBOX.vomiteer. When individual messages
arrive with some time interval in between them, I get EXISTS events for
each message as expected.
However, when I store a bunch of
