Unable to get IP address in guest OS through DHCP
Hello, I have a Gentoo Linux guest, which was working very well with the past xm tool stack. Since the migration to xen-4.1.1 and to the new xl tool stack, I have a problem for the IP assignation. Actually, when dhcpcd starts at boot time the IP address is not correctly assigned. This also happens if I perform "dhcpcd eth0" once I''ve accessed to the guest shell. I

OpenSuse 11 hvm domU: screen resolution up to 640x480
Hello, I''ve recently installed a hvm domU opensuse 11 guest and I cannot set the screen resolution higher then 640x480. This seems very strange to me, because I don''t have any problem to set higher resolution on a windows 7 domU, using the following parameters in the configuration file: stdvga=1 videoram=16 What could the problem be? Is some video driver missing? -- Flavio

Automatic vncviewer startup
Hello, is there a way to start automatically the vncviewer when a domU starts? When I was using the xm toolstack I could use "xm create domain.cfg -vncviewer" or something similar (if I''m not wrong), but I don''t know how to do it with the xl toolstack. At the moment, I have to create the domain using xl create domU.cfg, then xl list to see the domU id and then xl

graphically accessing pv guest
Hi all, I''m trying to expand the screen resolution of my guest when using vnc. It appears I need to use the extra variable in my guest config file and xenfb. I pass it in like this: extra = ''xenfb.video=8,1024,768'' I can see this being passed to the kernel when it boots but it doesn''t change the vnc screen resolution. I also see this when I type ps -ef |

XCP: No Ethernet card was detected on Debian Squeeze domU install
Hello, I am trying to setup Debian Squeeze as domU, but I get the message below during the setup process: No Ethernet card was detected on Debian Squeeze domU install And it asks to select the driver to me. I followed the instructions at page 27 of the guest.pdf manual, but there is no indication on how to set-up the bridge in order to make the ethernet interface available for the guest. How

Xen or KVM
Hi, I am new to virtualization and I am having the obvious hassle of choosing between Xen and KVM. Can Xen experts help me with this? Regards, Arindam _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xen.org http://lists.xen.org/xen-users

Xen bridge no longer working
Hello everybody, Here again with a Xenbr0 bridge problem I''m a Gentoo user, xen-sources-2.6.34 and I always used the bridge from eth0 to xenbr0. Here''s what I get at boot time: * Bringing up interface eth0 * null [...] * Starting Xen control daemon ... And the bridge doesn''t come up. The normal behaviour should be that the Xenbr0 bridge comes up automatically, but

Unable to boot installation ISO
Hi, I build Xen 4.1.1 on a Gentoo base dom0. Everything is working great. I tried one of Joseph Glanville''s PV-HVM image (debian6) and its working as it should. Now l''im trying to build a Gentoo based domU with then same specs as Joseph''s PV-HVM. I used a copy of the .cfg and adapted to my needs to make the gentoo work. when booting the minimal install image using

I'm experimenting with smb + winbind. My host is joined to AD and I can login to my host fine using my AD credentials via SSH.?? The only issue is that I don't get a Kerberos ticket generated. Aion 2.5.0.x on Sabayon 6
Guys I'm making this post because the wine tests details section get truncated but most of it was for Sabayon users: ---- -What Works- PvE, PvP, menu's etc... I was getting pretty good frames too depending on where and what I was doing between 30-90FPS I would say average PvE around 70FPS and in cities with PvP between 30-60FPS. Xrdp
The VNC server just listens to the appropriate TCP/IP port and then runs Xvnc which does the actual VNC communication. Ideally I'd be able to do the same thing for RDP then the daemon doesn't get any more complicated, and a bug in the RDP layer can't crash the server. I don't know enough about how NX works but I suspect we could do the same thing as for VNC and RDP. I'm

XRDB not in our centos6.8 build
I am a bit baffled on this. We recently rebuilt all our servers to CentOS release 6.8 (Final) from a prior 6.x centos release. We ran into a couple of problems such as Java not working (just had to yum install java). It was installed, but unable to create a java machine, until I yum install java solved the problem. But now a user (the big boss) is receiving xrdp errors. And it appears

What I am looking for is something similar like Microsoft RDP services that supports copy and paste between client and server, sound, clipboard, etc ... I have seen a possible solution using xrdp:

sssd problems after dc1 is no longer online
Hi all, I hope that this request for help will be the last one, for a while to come. Today, sernet support helped my sort out our DC mess, and they did a great job. However, sssd no longer works, and I hope someone here can help out. We used to have DC1, DC2 and DC3. DC1 was the classic-upgraded, first, 'original' DC, and had to be shutdown, unfortunately. So only DC2 and DC3
