Syslinux Digest, Vol 101, Issue 26
Thank you. Can I find any BIOS interrupt to wait on packet arrival NIC interrupt that can be used in COM32 program? And, how do I extend pxelinux.0 that enables this feature in PXE UDP RECEIVE INTERRUPT? Is gPXE has such kind of interrupt? multiprecision add/sub
I suggest that LLVM needs intrinsics for add/sub with carry, e.g. declare {T, i1} @llvm.addc.T(T %a, T %b, i1 c) The current multiprecision clang intrinsics example: void foo(unsigned *x, unsigned *y, unsigned *z) { unsigned carryin = 0; unsigned carryout; z[0] = __builtin_addc(x[0], y[0], carryin, &carryout); carryin = carryout; z[1] = __builtin_addc(x[1], y[1],

[LLVMdev] Weird problems with cos (was Re: [PATCH v3 2/3] R600: Add carry and borrow instructions. Use them to implement UADDO/USUBO)
Hi Tom, Matt, I'm running into strange issues with the cos test (piglit generated_tests/cl/builtin/math/builtin-float-cos-1.0.generated.c) I have been seeing random failures (incorrect results) for some time and tried to investigate. the weird part is that the failures are not 100% reproducible, sometimes the tests pass, or partly pass (it's usually float8 and float16 subtests that

COM32 and network access
Hi! i'm kinda investigating the possibility of using COM32 to manage an in-house installation method. For this to work, we need to have network access (HTTP preferred) from within COM32 itself. That or any kind of query/response type of network access. This is an example of what we could use: GET /somewhere/blah.asp?MACHINE=THIS and parse the response from the server. We're completely

[RESEND][RFC GIT PATCHES] acpioff: COM32 module to shut off machine using ACPI
[resending, cutting out git pull-request output to make message smaller] Hi all, I have written a COM32 module called "acpioff", that, not surprisingly, powers off a machine using ACPI. I have tested it only using pxelinux.0 with a SeaBIOS/Qemu virtual machine. Since the changeset pulls in a "Linux-ized" version of the open source ACPI Component Architecture, it was too big

[PATCH] com32: Include .init_array section in .ctors in linker script
From: Matt Fleming <matt.fleming at intel.com> GCC 4.7 now places pointers to functions with the 'constructor' and 'destructor' function attributes in .init_array and .fini_array sections, respectively, whereas previously they were in the .ctors and .dtors sections. This change breaks the ctors/dtors code as it only expects function to be in the .ctors and .dtors sections,

File size and graphics from com32 modules (unrelated)
Hi, I'm working on a com32 module in which I need to get some file size. The only way I found was to include the "lib/sys/file.h" header file and get the i.length field from the file_info structure (once a file descriptor is open). I understand that this structure is internal to the Com32 file I/O implementation and should not be accessed from com32 modules. So is there a

[PATCH] Make com32 printf obey width-restriction on %s

com32 compatibility between syslinux 3-4
Hi Everyone, This question might be a long shot, but is it possible to mix and match com32 programs written against Syslinux 3 with com32 programs written against Syslinux 4 without recompiling. We are trying to have our com32 programs run with different versions of Syslinux without modification. Appreciate any advice, thanks in advance.

Can't get COM32 + GDB to work
Hey guys, I can't seem to figure out how to debug a COM32 app with GDB under qemu. I start "qemu -s" and then "gdb hello.elf ; target remote:1234" but can't set any breakpoints that work. I"m using syslinux4 (pathbased from the repo). Can anyone verify that they can use qemu+com32+gdb with something as simple as com32/samples/hello.c32 ? Also, is it
