similar to: [PATCH][git-pull] doc/syslinux.txt: CONFIG and LOCALBOOT

I have been using PXELINUX, with "LOCALBOOT 0" when wanting to boot from disk, for many years. Now on new Dell Optiplex 990 machines, PXE boot with "LOCALBOOT 0" hangs after message Booting from local disk... without the expected "Exiting PXE" message. I tried "LOCALBOOT -1" and some other values also, none seemed to work. I tested SYSLINUX 4.04.

Good day, i would like to be able to keep pxe loaded after localboot -1 . Localboot -1 should try to boot 'next device' from the order configured by bios. Of course 'next device' can be an additional nic. In this case booting from second nic fails because !PXE is not found. Please give me a hint where to patch sources to keep pxe loaded. It is possible anyway? Thanks very much .

I'm still trying fruitlessly to get some sort of local disk boot from syslinux EFI to work... using the 6.03 modules. Tried various combinations of configurations on Gene's test binaries. For reference this is on different models of HP Proliant Gen-9 systems with UEFI. Firmware as up to date as it comes. The UEFI boot order has the hard drives and OS ESPs before the PXE interfaces

Recently, I decided to pull out a new model laptop for testing related to my job at work. Dell Latitiude E6400, BIOS A14. Normally I have it set to boot CD, USB, Net, then HDD and noticed that with PXELINUX-4.02 and 'LOCALBOOT 0', it hung on me before leaving the PXE stack. I then tried 3.86 and it worked. 4.00 and 4.01 both hung when I tested them as well. Changing to 'LOCALBOOT

Label is OS and I believe there are all booting MBR. Is there a way to clear the memory then continue loading ? or rebooting the machine from the menu. I have tried that reboot.c32 and cannot get it to reboot the machine. Just download Syslinux 1.75 and set it up on my SuSE 7.3 box with latest ISC 3.x DHCP release.
