Chainloading / Nested PXELINUX [SOLVED]
I was able to solve the problem with the following configuration: label custom1 MENU custom1 kernel pxechain.com append ::custom1/pxelinux.0 label custom2 MENU custom2 kernel pxechain.com append ::custom2/pxelinux.0 configdir1/pxelinux.cfg/default configdir2/pxelinux.cfg/default Then I dropped the custom pxelinux.0 files in their respective directories, confgdir1 and configdir2. Syslinux Digest, Vol 92, Issue 25
Sorry Gene, I got the version of binutils is 2.17. I download the latest Binutils to make the *objdump* and *objcopy*. with both of these utilities to create new pxelinux.raw. then, the error message shows me that, objcopy -O binary pxelinux.elf pxelinux.raw ../lzo/prepcore pxelinux.raw pxelinux.bin ../lzo/prepcore: pxelinux.raw: output too big (30165, max 0) make[1]: *** [pxelinux.bin] Error 1

All, Thanks for all your help. Now, I can compile the latest source code base on RedHat 5.5 after update nasm(to 2.09) and binutil(2.17). And *make spotless* before *make* under core/ directory. But with the new pxelinux.0, the PXEClient can not bootup. The error info, No valid file system found! And stuck in there. I think maybe the gcc cause the problem. My gcc version is 4.1.2. [bug] PXELINUX: hardcoded options from pxelinux-options ignored
Hardcoded options for PXELINUX (embedded in the pxelinux.0 binary by pxelinux-options) was introduced in 3.83. While working on documentation, I decided to try it on 5.10, verified that 209 (config-file) was set as an after option and saw no change in behavior. I then tested the same as a before with no change. I then tested 3.86, found it working and tested 4.06 and 4.00 and found them broken.

PXELINUX LocalBoot 0 fail; hunting for bug
Recently, I decided to pull out a new model laptop for testing related to my job at work. Dell Latitiude E6400, BIOS A14. Normally I have it set to boot CD, USB, Net, then HDD and noticed that with PXELINUX-4.02 and 'LOCALBOOT 0', it hung on me before leaving the PXE stack. I then tried 3.86 and it worked. 4.00 and 4.01 both hung when I tested them as well. Changing to 'LOCALBOOT
