network redundancy via two nics, two routers?
Hi List, I'm trying to configure two switches to provide redundancy (i.e. in case one switch goes down), and am wondering if there is a standard way to configure a CentOS box to use different gateways in a bonded interface, depending upon which physical nic is being used? A bit more detail might help answer the "And why do you want to do that?" questions... - Switch 1,

Special dhcp options and PXElinux
Hi I am trying to enable my dhcpd and pxelinux setup to use a specific config file for a booting client. I have read the pxelinux page for this (http://syslinux.zytor.com/pxe.php#special) but still seem to be encountering problems. When running the dhcpd with the '-d' debug option the daemon sees the DHCPDISCOVER from the client and then core dumps. On the client side the DHCPDISCOVER

Urgent Help pls - NT4.0 Term Server and SAMBA - RDR timeouts
Hello, I'm new to this list. The NT folk here, are concerned about some timeout errors and stuff that appear in their event viewer. They are building a case to convince management that unless these "samba" errors are fixed, we should move to NT file shares. I think this is a bad idea. Can anyone help me out here. We are running samba 2.0.6 (1st msg) and 2.0.5a (2nd err msg)

[pxelinux] fix for Realtek PXE implementation
I found (and fixed) a problem with my realtek onboard 8139 controller. dhcpd server sends filename "pxelinux.0" but realtek requests "pxelinux.0\377" (i.e. the octal character 377 is appended), resulting in a file not found during the tftpd phase. I fixed this by adding a mapping to tftpd: # strip ending garbage from filenames (Realtek PXE bug) r ^([[:graph:]]*)(.+)$ \1

PXE-booting Xen using PXELINUX
For those of you who don''t read xen-users, and are interested in booting Xen using PXE (and without GRUB), have a look at my post here: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2005-04/msg00462.html (Briefly: it''s a module for PXELINUX that will allow it to boot Xen+xenlinux+initrd.) pxelinux: Forward control to another PXE server
Hello, We currently have a pxelinux setup, where our servers are offered a set of firmware update and linux installation options, when an operator configures them to do a network boot. Now our Windows guys wants to setup another PXE/TFTP solution (Microsoft ADS) to help them with their installations. They also need access to the firmware update options from the existing solution, so I'm

PXE UNDI Options in PXELINUX
Hello I wonder, if you know any more about the possibilities of having a standard Network driver for most cards. Is there any such thing for linux? Where do I get it? Is there possibly something for DOS? A UNDI Packetdriver would be cool, because then I could use DosSCP on every Network card I would ever be using with MemDisk (which in turn is very cool.) bye Christian (thinking about writing

Virtual machines booting PXE - PXELINUX
Hello, new to the group. We have been using PXELINUX for some time now with great success. However, with the recent spawn of virtual machines now supporting PXE boot, has anyone been able to mount the disk in this enviornment? Could someone direct me to any information on how to mount and or partition drives? I have discovered the same issue with the HP DX2200 model of PC. For example if I run

pxelinux.0 tftp kernel vmlinuz transfer hangs on PXE startup
Hello, I just would like to let you know that after investigating a while, it seems to me that the vmlinuz kernel ( Centos 5.6 Xen ) tftp transfer is hanging because there look to be some buffer overflow on the client side because after a while ( more or less 50Kb transfer ) , there is no more acknoledgment coming back from the client even in the last syslinux distribution revision

I would suggest trying 6.04-pre1, and/or the binaries from Debian Sid / Unstable (which are more up-to-date
