Make eth1 primary interface
I have a Centos 3 server with three network interfaces. eth0 is for the local network and the firewall is the gateway, the ip and gateway are set statically. eth1 is a adsl connection using dhcp to allocate the ip. I want to make eth1 the default route. If it was statci I would just use a "route add default gwd eth1" command, but I can't do that with DHCP. How do I make eth1 the

Cannot start sm-client on CentOS
Starting up sendmail I get: Starting sm-client: can not chdir(/var/spool/clientmqueue/): Permission denied Program mode requires special privileges, e.g., root or TrustedUser. I assume the user used for sm-client is smmsp. However, that user has /var/spool/mqueue as homedir and I added him to the trusted users list. FYI, that user has disabled login (which should be okay) and the group has a

lsraid on centos 4.2
On older systems redhat 9 there was a command lsraid.... I have a centos 4.2 system that does not have that command. What is the new command that is equivalent to "lsraid -a /dev/md0"? Or is there a package that does not get loaded by default? Lsraid is not on my system. THanks, jerry

Metamail
Hi all, I''m setting up Hylafax with Centos4.2. Seems like it requires a package called metamail. I visited rpmfind.net but confused which package should I choose. There are one for RH4.2, RHEL AS 2.1. Curiously, there''s none for FC. php versions
Got a question with centos/rhel php versions. because in centos 3 they're still using 4.3.2 and centos 4 which uses 4.3.9. how about the bugfixes done in 4.4 and 4.4.1? centos/rhel updates regularly like centos 3 which already updated for 6 times but still uses 4.3.2? is that mean we still suffer the bugs of the original 4.3.2? -- Regards, Mark Quitoriano, CCNA http://www.atamanetworks.com

Licences
Hi, I'm looking for a way to determine the licenses of packages we're using. Is there a command (rpm, yum, up2date...) that will take the package name as argument and return me the licence? Or is everything included with Centos 4 GPL? That is the only licence I found in the repositories... I remember that RH had the habit of putting all the applicable licences on the
