[PATCH] gfxboot.c32
Ok, here is the first try to turn the gfxboot wrapper into a com32 module. I
had to extend the interface to the gfxboot core a bit to get it working. So
it works only with latest gfxboot from
git://gitorious.org/gfxboot/gfxboot.git

[PATCH] Gfxboot COMBOOT module
This is the latest version of the gfxboot module. It's supposed to work on
all Syslinux derivatives.
I am not sure about the copyright notice and would appreciate any input.

Some patches from mageia
Hi folks,
As per Ady request (thanks for the reminder), I forgot to send the patches
I run in Mageia.
There is two of them :
One is making errors in parsing modules.alias not fatal.
The other one is adding an option to chain to avoid reading garbage on the
command line.
I had some issues with gfxboot and had to implement that. I know it's a
workaround, I don't really get if that's

[RFC][PATCH] Gfxboot COMBOOT module
So here it is. Ugly and far from acceptable shape but nonetheless it seems to
work. Parts are borrowed from syslinux core and of course the gfxboot patch for
syslinux 3.63.
Syntax: gfxboot.com <bootlogo file>

GSOC -2008 - Few Questions
Hello All,
I am participating in the Google Summer of Code 2008. I am a student
from India. I am interested in rewriting Gfxboot as a COM32 module.I
am interested in syslinux because I used the ppmtolss16 perl script
present in syslinux to create my own splash screen for a kiosk system
which was built on Myslax(and isolinux was present too!!!).
I am a newbie and have some basic knowledge of C. I

[PATCH] gfxboot: fix buffer overrun when loading kernel/initramfs
If the file size wasn't a multiple of 64KB, we could overwrite the next
entry in the malloc arena so reading the initramfs would fail.

gfxboot again - EFI64
Hello,
I think I found another problem with gfxboot, and I think it is
completely unrelated to the 'packed archive' issue.
Again I tried using gfxboot with the Ubuntu gfxboot archive, this time
with EFI64, using a real EFI-capable machine. I first verified that
everything else actually works by commenting out 'ui gfxboot bootlogo'
and got a working menu. Uncommented the line

[1/1] [gfxboot] align buffer used to read data from disk to a 512 byte boundary
The COM API provides a function to read from disk (int 22h, AX=07h)
which needs a destination buffer aligned on a 512 byte boundary. gfxboot
uses this function but doesn't ensure its data buffer is properly
aligned. This leads to failures on a few machines (HP Pavillion dv5):

Possible improvements for chain.c
While playing with some less than usual configurations, I've got bitten
few times by geometry settings in case of, usually, microsoft[ish]
systems. First two examples, then the improvement idea.
Example #1
My usb stick has zip-compatible geometry, which should work fine both in
hdd and zip modes. It usually does, at least as far as syslinux and
normal software is considered - excluding
