Package Installer Fails in OSX 10.5 Leopard
Hello all,
I apologize in advance if this is not the correct list to post these sorts
of issues. When attempting to install the latest stable build of R (2.6) or
the most recent nightly build from R.research.att.com, the installer
disables the ability to actually install R or any of the other bundled
frameworks (i.e. the list is unchecked and grayed out). Before I start
trying to either coerce the

R-3.1.0 OSX Snow Leopard installs old binary
Hi All, I am not sure why this happens, but apparently an old binary is
installed by default. Downloading and installing the new binary by hand
works fine.
Is this the intended behavior? If yes, may I ask what is the reason for it?
Thanks, Gabor

Winetricks list comes up blank OSX Snow Leopard
Hello everyone, I have been having some problems with wine, mainly that I can't get any winetricks to show up. I downloaded both wine and winetricks from Mac Ports, I have even installed some third party programs (Like Trix) and no luck. In wine and wine bottler the list is always empty! I have tried to install winetricks manually through the terminal as well.
I really have no idea why this

[LLVMdev] OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard): strip: malformed object: clang malformed object (unknown load command 9)
I'm working on bringing up a buildbot in the LLVM lab that would run
the GCC and GDB DejaGNU tests.
The current problem I'm running into is shown here:

When the buildbot attempts to "make install" the system 'strip' binary

I need the Com32 binary so I can use it on my project. Or, maybe anyone can make the COM32 library as a single API file so I can easly call it after my .c32 is running?

Newbie worries with "Developing Rails Applications on Max OSX Leopard"
Hello There,
As a new comer to RoR, I started to follow the article
http://developer.apple.com/tools/developonrailsleopard.html. In short
you create to entities and one one-to-many relation linking them.
Everything was good until the establishment of the relation. I am
unable to go any further than "Linking Models Together" : I can create
the "vendors" mentionned in the

Legacy Toshiba Phones
I found some postings from Google (notably from Mark Spencer) about
successful integration of a legacy Toshiba Strata system and Asterisk.
I am also facing that current dilemma. The general legacy solutions that
I can come up with is very easy -- either making Asterisk a "proxy" (or
frontdoor) to the Toshiba system, or have it operate behind the Toshiba
via regular extensions.

R on OS X Leopard?
Hi,
I've been using R on my OS X machine this school year, and have been
really enjoying it. I recently formatted my machine and installed OS X
Leopard. When I try to install the OS X R package on Leopard, R's
installer tells me I have the wrong version of R for my version of OS X.
I downloaded the most recent version, and looked for a Leopard-specific
one, but haven't found one.

Netbooting an Intel Mac
This may not be a SYSLINUX specific question, but more of a general network
booting question. Has anyone managed to use a Linux based machine to
netboot an Intel Mac?
I can get the machine to successfully DHCP, but it won't go any farther then
that. As far as I can tell, it's trying to get it's boot info via the "Boot
Server Discovery Protocol". While it's not

[LLVMdev] building LLVM for i386 under snow leopard
