Gents, I have added the following to /etc/mail/sendmail.mc and rebuilt it trying to control spam. I still get about 25 spam messages a day. Is there something else that can help control spam? Hello! I'm running clamav-milter, clamd, and sendmail on CentOS 3.3 (RHEL3). I'm trying to verify that my milter works. I've sent test emails from testvirus.org but they don't appear to be getting flagged. I don't see anything in the logs to indicate they were. Is there a sure-fire way to know? Also, how should the clamd work? Does it watch the filesystem? Or will it only work

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any familiarity with this server? It uses the Super X6DH8-G2 motherboard. Currently, we've added an Adaptec 2120S Ultra320 RAID PCI Controller Card to get RAID 5 capability. The installation bombs and from what I can tell it looks like we're getting SCSI resets or the controller is going offline maybe. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, I'm curious. I just installed CentOS 3.3 and did an update with YUM. I want to run Apache so I first checked to see if it's installed with rpm -q apache. Nada. Yet, in /etc/rc.d/rc3.d I see K15httpd. So I moved that to S15httpd and started it up. It's up. Goto the default page and it's running. So....if it's not showing up in rpm queries, how is/was it installed? --

Whats a good antispam solution? I am using sendmail and dovecot 1.1. I came across dovecot's antispam plugin, but it seems it does not support 1.1 yet. I am also looking for something non-perl based. I am already doing some greylisting with sendmail milter. Any other good suggestions? If not, I guess I might have to downgrade back to 1.0 dovecot. Thanks

I'm setting up the mail server and on Fedora I used the milter rpms for greylisting, spamassassin, mimedefant etc. However I don't see that those are included with Centos?
