TFTP-HPA beginner needs help
Hello,
I am trying to flash new firmware into a router using TFTP-HPA. I am
running Ubuntu 14.04 on a flash drive and still learning how to use
Linux. I have also installed XINETD.D
In one of the README files that comes with TFTP-HPA it said not to
call it using tptp.
Here are the instructions I'm trying to follow:
cd /tmp ; tftp -gl aa 192.168.0.9; sh aa
I do not know what

TFTP-HPA beginner needs help
Thank you for the info Groeten.
I have the TFTPD-HPA server address set to 192.168.1.9:69
I am unable to ping this address and I wonder if the server address
should be the same as the network interface card (ethernet card) I am using.
The files I want to upload are in /srv/tftpboot, so I'm not sure why
the command cd /tmp was used.

EFI Reboot Timer
I am working on setting up a global boot server that serves up files across the WAN. I am running into a 5 minute timer that is rebooting my hosts before they can complete the kernel and initrd file download.
The servers in questions are HP DL60s, and they use UEFI. I am using syslinux.efi version 6.03. They get the kernel file from the TFTP server in about 2 ? minutes, then get 2 ? more minutes

Howto make a bootable drive partition img of an iso to be used with memdisk
Hello, I am trying to make a usb stick full of utilities. However some of
the utilities do not use syslinux, and are iso's. Is there any method
available for turning the iso into a bootable drive img to be used with
memdisk?

Hi,
It is not important how long I have been moderator for this mailinglist.
Thing is that I'm thinking about stepping back.
How would like to help the Syslinux project by moderating this ML?

Booting disk images with syslinux?
Is it possable to boot a diskimage with syslinux?
So often I run into bios upgrade disks images or can
easily create a disk image and would like an easy way
to just boot these images.
I know isolinux does this and I vagely remember using
it to make a bootable windows 95 cd back in the day.
It worked to.
It would be nice if I could just copy the disk image
to a usbstick and use syslinux to boot

Localboot option in syslinux and extlinux
I just tried to boot extlinux off of /dev/sdb and use the option localboot 0x80. I was hoping to see syslinux for the second time as the system loaded the master boot rec from /dev/sda.
Why is this option only in pxelinux and isolinux?
