lua and other modules in 6.03-pre
The following are new Lua c32 modules in 6.03-pre*: cmenu.c32: cpu.c32: dhcp.c32: dmi.c32: lfs.c32: pci.c32: syslinux.c32: vesa.c32: I am wondering whether the following modules, which are _not_ new and are also included in 6.03-pre*, have _any_ relation either to the above list or to Lua: cpuid.c32: cpuidtest.c32: dmitest.c32: pcitest.c32: vesainfo.c32: TIA, Ady.

Help Choosing Start Values for nls
Hi all, I'm trying to do a simple curve fit and coming up with some interesting results I would like to get comment on. So as shown below, tsR is my explanatory and response is... well... my response. This same data in gnumeric gets fitted with the curve "response=10078.4 + 1358.67 * ln (explanatory - 2009.07) So I'm using nls with the start values supplied by gnumeric. in

submenu using vesamenu.c32 and menu.c32
Hello everyone I'm new to using menu.c32 and vesamenu.c32. I have used the original method of using pxelinux menus. I've read the wiki page and it speaks of being able to create submenus by making one of my menu options reference to (vesa)menu.c32 as the kernel and append the config file. I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly it was a little over simplified. Any help would be

Fwd: Possible to load VBIOS TSR from MEMDISK, then load Linux?
Intel has VBIOS updates available that end-users typically cannot use unless their vendor includes it in a system BIOS update. The only exception is being able to use a DOS TSR (terminate and stay resident) executable, which doesn?t work e.g. in NT-based Windows. However, I do not know if this also applies to Linux (and that may be a question to ask elsewhere). However, regarding MEMDISK, would it

Forwarded USB brokenness
Hi, I''ve set up a domU with video card access per the instructions at <http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=68703>; video is working quite nicely. However, I''m having some trouble getting the USB keyboard and mouse to work. I have a motherboard with onboard USB 2.0, and a USB 1.1 PCI card. The motherboard USB uses several PCI addresses. If I

Multiple X100Ps -- order?
After over a month (well, ok, no more than an hour a day :) of planning, getting hardware, tinkering and testing, I'm about to my Ultimate Home Phone System (tm) online. vesamenu partly broken in 3.70?
Hi, As of syslinux-3.70, vesamenu.c32 seems to be broken. But here's the kicker: it's only broken when booting from USB, not from CD! What happens is that the colours are not set like I've set in the cfg and only one entry shows up. On my laptop that entry contains some really messed up symbols but on my stationary computer it's just empty, so it seems we're dealing with some

Strange behaviour when using vesamenu.c32 and PXELinux
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas and perhaps solutions around an error i've been experiencing when using vesamenu.c32 (and the other non-vesa menu too). I have tried three different versions (the latest three) of pxelinux and the other files. The problem exists in all of them. My setup is pretty simple, filename defined in dhcpd, boot up from pxe, starts requesting configs, and

DBAN and vesamenu.c32
I'm integrating DBAN (http://dban.sourceforge.net/) into our PXE boot menu system (using vesamenu.c32) but it just hangs when I'm using vesamenu.c32 and confusingly when I revert our menu system to using vesa.c32 it works ok. I've stripped out any extraneous configuration but it still seems to have the same problem. When I use this in pxelinux.cfg it boots into DBAN ok: default

Do Not Call List
The US has a Do Not Call list to which people can subscribe to prevent being called by advertisers. Federal laws (strengthened by some state and more local laws) assign penalties for calling people/phones on the DNCL. Is there a query gateway that Asterisk (or an app using Asterisk) can filter through to ensure a number is OK to call (not on the list) before calling it? -- (C) Matthew Rubenstein

vesamenu.c32 and EFI
Hello! I've been attempting to add EFI support to a linux live distro (slax), it's built on a syslinux bootloader. I can get EFI to work using menu.c32 on syslinux 6.03; however ideally we'd like the VESA menu as well. When we use the vesamenu.c32 and libcom32.c32 from 6.03 we end up with a blank screen and the machine seems to hang. I've tried adding MENU RESOLUTION based on
