Syslinux-6.00-pre1
I've just pushed out a 6.00-pre1 release. This release includes support for booting EFI machines. The code is currently in the alpha stage. Having said that, you should expect most things to work correctly, including things like the graphical menu. Please help test if you can, and if you find any bugs, please report them. To facilitate building different versions of syslinux.efi (32-bit and

EFI: HP + syslinux = crash [ brown paper bag update ]
Updating myself again: On 07-08-15 16:03, Oscar Roozen wrote: > e466d24 still has an issue with png's in vesalinux causing crashes I can confirm this remaining crash is caused by the line "MENU BACKGROUND bootlogo.png". The original bootlogo.png is 640x480. Forcing the videomode with "MENU RESOLUTION 640 480" did not resolve the crashes, nor did resizing the png

Syslinux 6.00 released
Finally, the Syslinux 6.00 release is out. This release includes support for booting from EFI, both from disk-based media and over the network via PXE. Thanks to everyone who has been testing this out. There are some EFI bugs that I'm aware of, * booting Linux kernels without CONFIG_RELOCATABLE doesn't work * 64-bit syslinux.efi cannot boot 32-bit kernels and vice versa *

[GIT PULL] elflink bug fixes
Hi Peter, Please pull the following changes. Paulo, I had to revert your "pxe: resolve names via DNS from protected-mode code" change because dns_resolv() is only implemented for PXELINUX and causes undefined symbol references for ISOLINUX, etc. Feel free to make the change again on top of the revert. The following changes since commit e7bd19def830e8341b1a100956345f1028740b9e:

menu.c32 empty label?
The attached config works, but gives 2 error messages that get covered up by the GUI screen so fast I cannot read them. I think they are probably about having 'LABEL' with nothing after it. I was trying to follow the example in menu.doc but somehow I'm doing it wrong. Please consider helping me figure out how to get the same resulting GUI menu without any error messages. I am using

Image corruption with default X-server for Geforce 6600
Hi, (This is a recend, as the original post was refused by the CentOS moderators due to the size of the X-log file) I''ve just installed the CentOS 4.0 RC1 for x86_64 -set on my new Nforce4-based system with a PCIe GF6600-card. When installing, the screen becomes garbled as the system enters X mode, but installing with ''linux text'' works, until the system reboots and

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-video-vesa 2.5.0
This release rolls up a few minor bug fixes since 2.4.0. We now refuse to run on machines with UEFI firmware (on Linux only, patches welcome for other OSes) since it won't work in the general case and you probably have a kernel framebuffer driver running already. We also only attempt to use 24bpp if the alternative would be pseudocolor, but note that since xserver 1.20 24bpp will not work at
