rtc in /proc/interrupts
Hi - I am using centos 4.6 on an ebox 4300. Everything seems to be working except the /proc/interrupts rtc is always constant. On other machines the rtc (which ztdummy from asterisk) is always incrementing. the uhci_hcd and ehci_hcd are both running. What can cause this? ramdisk_size=9216 - but why?
All, My name is William Russell and I am setting up a PXE Boot server on RHEL6 to server RHEL5 & 6 network installations. I'm just trying to document and optimize my setup which I moved from a RHEL5 server. I noticed that I have "ramdisk_size=9216", but after a fruitless search online, I still don't understand why we chose 9MB - it seems so random. Many others have used

Moving ocfs file system to a new SAN
Hi, We are currently rolling over our SAN (FC4700 to CX700) and have now reached the data migration stage. I need to move the data files on my current /u01 ocfs file system (on FC4700) to a new ocfs file system (on CX700) which I want to keep as the same /u01 mount point on the hosts. With a normal file system I would just mount the new file system to a temporary mount point, copy the data,

what happens to text after the label?
Hi All, Interesting that I couldn't find this documented anywhere, but what happens to text that is typed after the label on the syslinux prompt? My current issue is I'm using PXE to do kickstart installations. I want the ability to do "rescue" boots also with PXE. I've gone looking at the current RH80 disk 1 which has this capability. It has a directory called

I am having difficulty trying to figure out how to get a computer to boot from it's local disk automatically after the pxe menu times out. I installed syslinux-3.11-4 with yum onto CentOS 5.5 It boots to the local disk if I select Local from the menu and press enter but it never times out and boots localy. compact flash, fat, reduced knoppix and syslinux
Hi. I've recently picked up a 256MB compact flash card and CF->IDE adapter. I'm wanting to put a smaller version of knoppix on here. I came across miniknoppix here: http://www.inittab.org and decided to have a play around with that. So far I have opened up the ISO image and copied all the files out. I have put a boot sector onto the CF by putting the CF into the IDER adpater then

Problem with menu.c32]
I'm trying to use menu.c32 to boot different kickstart files. The problem I have is regardless of what menu item I select, it always uses the client.cfg (default entry) even if I select one of the others. I have removed the DEFAULT from that entry and it still always uses the ckient.cfg kickstart file Any ideas. Thanks, Mike Jarka default menu.c32 prompt 0 timeout 300 MENU TITLE PXE Boot

vesamenu.c32 + include + CLI woes
Hi all, In June 2007 Jerry Nelson started a thread on this mailing list about a problem he was seeing. The thread was http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2007-June/008673.html After several hours of searching through the list, I am still convinced that his problem was never solved and is very valid. I recently moved from the old syslinux config options model (all labels in 1 default config file)

vesamenu.c32 and cat.c32
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have done some additional testing, and gotten it a bit close to what I was looking for. I had to modify the cat.c to eliminate the printing of the arguments and file name, and added a Press Enter to return menu line. With the below isolinux.cfg the options do display the files, and pressing enter than returns to the vesamenu. DEFAULT
