keyboard input under a vm
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Is there any reason why the keyboard poll routine (int 16h) in conio.inc checks fro a serial port.
when pxelinux.0 is run under a vm - the keyboard does not register.
which makes menus useless.
Also the timer is broken.

Incompatibility using pxelinux 3.80 or later and setupldr.exe from windows XP 32 bits
Hello
I'm working on my RIS server; I got a problem when I use pxelinux.0 to
load setupldr.exe from windows XP 32bits (both home and corporate)
Here is how I configure a working server, then how to modify it to
reproduce the bug:
=========================
I suppose you got
-a dhcp server configured to load pxelinux.0 to client computer.
-a working tftp server (mine is tftpd-hpa, with a rule

Syslinux 4.06-pre12
Hi,
I've just pushed out a last -pre release before 4.06 final. The purpose
of this prerelease was to make sure that all the build infrastructure is
configured correctly and to ensure that the win installer problem is now
gone (I've done the build on an F16 machine which should have a working
mingw toolchain).
Barring any major problems I'll do the final release this week.

syslinux.efi [PXELINUX EFI 64 boot] not properly TFTP'ing ldlinux.e64
Gene and co,
Now my pxelinux efi 64 boot is properly loading syslinux.efi (via TFTP)
It then issues a TFTP file request for efi.x64/pxelinux.cfg/ldlinux.e64.
(All my efi x64 content is under efi.x64/pxelinux.cfg).
However, I see that it fails to properly negotiate the TFTP options with my
TFTP server. so it never transfers ldlinux.e64 over.
In its file request packet, it asks for these TFTP

tftp-hpa versus atftpd
I'm interested to find out how many people are running tftp-hpa versus atftpd.
I'm almost a bit surprised in how many people seem to be using tftp-hpa; for
modern Unix systems (including Linux), I would in general assume atftpd to be
a better choice.
If you have tried both and specifically chosen (as opposed to "it was already
installed", etc.) I'd be interested in

tftpd-hpa: the tftpdir is ignored if --secure isn't used
If I omit --secure from the tftpd-hpa command line, I then need to e.g.
`tftp -c get /var/lib/tftpboot/vmlinuz` instead of plain /vmlinuz, even
though I pass /var/lib/tftpboot as the tftp dir in the tftpd-hpa command
line.
That essentially means that I'm exporting my whole /, which is clearly
something I don't want to do. I basically want tftpd-hpa to serve files
from /var/lib/tftpboot

Bug#517007: xen-utils-3.2-1: tap:aio on disk image files is not usable
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1
Version: 3.2.1-2
Severity: important
/usr/lib/xen-3.2-1/bin/blktapctrl
searches for tapdisk executable in /usr/bin
while is in /usr/lib/xen-3.2-1/bin
this makes tap:aio unusable
I've linked to /usr/bin and everything went fine
perhaps the idea is to patch sources to pick
executable from the right directory
