syslinux booting problem with 3Com PXE server
I use 3Com's PXE server to deploy the RedHat Linux network boot disk for an ftp install. I have done this for RedHat 7.2 and 7.3. I followed the same procedure I used for the other RedHat boot disks using the RedHat 8.0 boot disk and syslinux didn't work. Syslinux boots the system, gets the boot: prompt and dies. The error message is can not find ramdisk image and then cannot find

PXE boot woes
Hello list, I need to load windows automatically. I have Argon Technologies CMS (Client Management Systems). http://argontechnology.com I have always had problems with this product because it uses the old MS DOS NET Client 3.0 with a LAN manager stack to copy the files from a Microsoft share. What I need is a Linux boot floppy that will remove partition 1 and re-create it then format as fat

pxelinux.0
I'm not sure if this belongs here or on an etherboot list. I've given up on trying to get a single floppy syslinux with enough stuff to remote mount a file system. I'm trying an etherboot floppy. When I boot the system finds the dhcp server and gets the right file name but then it gives me the message "not a valid image." A quick search of the net didn't help much.

Problem with syslinux booting via network in floppy image
Hi as described on the syslinux pxe webpage: A multi-hardware boot floppy is included with Windows Server 2000 and 2003. A company called Argon Technology used to offer a free-as-in-beer updated version, but is seems to have gone fully commercial. This floppy (which can also be burned to a CD using El Torito in floppy-emulation mode), is known to work with PXELINUX 2.03 or later only I'm

booting memtest86 with syslinux
I'm building a custom bootdisk that I would like to boot linux or boot memtest86 (www.memtest86.com). And I'm running into some difficulties with recent versions of syslinux. All I'm doing is making a new label in syslinux.cfg called memtest and giving it kernel memtest.bin. This has worked on and off for several recent versions of memtest. It worked in 1.67, broke in 1.70(loads

PXE stack on a floppy
Hi, The link given in your http://syslinux.zytor.com/pxe.php#config page points to the http://www.argontechnology.ca/rbfg/index.shtml site. This site talks only of Win2k and .Net server. There is no mention of GNU/Linux. Is it possible to use rbfg.exe to create a pxelinux bootable stack on a floppy. If so how ? Rom-O-Matic has a pxe loadable ROM image. Is there a way to use this to

SYSLINUX 1.73-pre1
I have released SYSLINUX 1.73-pre1. This isn't a bug fix release (thank God), but given the rather painful quality of the last couple of releases I wanted to get another prerelease out as I'm working on the new core code. I'm trying to eliminate differences between the various syslinux components whereever possible; there has been some unnecessary differences in the past which

SYSLINUX 1.72 released
Since I've gotten convinced the really serious PXELINUX/ISOLINUX bug in 1.71 got squashed, I have released 1.72. Again, 1.72 is a bug fix release only. I have some additional rewrites pending before I want to introduce features that use the new core code, but let's make sure it gets usable again, first... -hpa SYSLINUX 1.70 doesn't introduce any new features, but contains a

x and y lengths differ
I have a problem with R. I try to compute the confidence interval for my df. When I want to create the plot I have this problem: Error in xy.coords(x, y, xlabel, ylabel, log) : 'x' and 'y' lengths differ. I try this code: library(dplR) df.rwi <- detrend(rwl = df, method = "Spline",nyrs=NULL) write.table(df.rwi,file="rwi.txt",quote=FALSE,row.names=TRUE)

[LLVMdev] pb05 benchmarks for llvm/dragonegg 3.2
Duncan, With the commit from http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20121203/158488.html, the Polyhedron 2005 benchmarks complete again on x86_64-apple-darwin12. The result are similar to what were seen with FSF gcc 4.6.2svn and llvm/dragonegg 3.0 (which was the last release that passed pb05) http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2011-October/044091.html. rsync bug recreating header.info
If this is not the correct place to post this I apologize. I am having a problem with rsync not setting the correct permissions on the rsync'd files. I have rsync 2.6.3 running on a Windows 2003 server using cygwin. I rsync the fedora core 2 updates to my server for internal use. The problem is after the rsync, the header.info file is no longer accessible to anyone and the other rsync'd

nls() and loop
Hello I?m need fitt growth curve with data length-age. I want to evaluate which is the function that best predicts my data, to do so I compare the Akaikes of different models. I'm now need to evaluate if changing the initial values changes the parameters and which do not allow to estimate the model. To do this I use the function nls(); and I randomize the initial values (real positive number).

Homogenous groups building - Randomisation
Dear R-users, We expect to form N homogeneous groups of n features from an experimentation including N*n data. The aim is to prevent group effects. How to do that with R functionalitites ? Does anyone know any way enabling this ? Example : 100 patients are observed. 3 biochemical parameters are mesured for each one (Red and white globules ans glycemia). Patient RG RW

Planning a 2.08 release
It seems that quite a bit of stuff built up very quickly after the 2.07 release: Changes from 2.07 to 2.08-pre6: * Add new configuration command "ontimeout" to allow timeout to have a different action than just pressing Enter. * Add new configuration command "onerror" to allow a custom command to be executed in case the kernel image is
