MTFTP support in PXElinux??
Hiya, Just joined the list and started using pxelinux. Very cool product!!! I searched the, 8+ MB, archives looking for multicast entries. I know that the pxelinux page says that the support of mtftp in pxelinux isn't in the works but I'm not sure how old/relavant that comment is. I have noticied some comments from H.P.A. describing the difficulties in doing MTFTP. Are there any plans to

FW: INITRD > MEMSIZE / 2
I?ve got a 512M machine and a 330M ( uncompressed ) initrd image. How can I mount the ramdisk? Normal booting seems to want to copy the entire initrd image into a Ramdisk, thus requiring 2X the memory. So what happens is the kernel boots correctly and I get, RAMDISK: ext2 filesystem found at block 0 RAMDISK: Loading 330000 blocks [ 1 disk ] into ram disk And then I never see the light of day after

pxelinux+memdisk experience & problem..
hi: i try to make some images for pxelinux+memdisk. the version i try is 2.0.6 and 2.0.7pre5 for 2.88M floppy image, first i make a 1.44M boot floopy, then use "winimage" to load the disk and transfer it to 2.88M format, then save the image. it seems a easy way to make a 2.88M boot image. for harddisk image, i use vmware to build a virtual machine with 20M harddisk, make it boot

pxelinux.cfg/default config issues
I've been having some real issues creating a working configuration file for my PXE Linux 2.03 installation from which I intend to boot diskless workstations. I've tried a huge number of differences for passing the init argument but none seem to work. Current config file should look something like this: ******** default std label std kernel linuz append root=/dev/nfs

Odd problem with pxelinux
We encountar a somewhat odd problem. We use pxelinux to boot a linux cluster and when we reboot all 103 of the nodes some of the won't start since the tftp-servere looses the arp-entry _between_ it downloads the pxelinux.0 and the config file! pxelinux doesn't seem to answer the arp-requests either in this phase. We run linux 2.4.22 on the tftp-server which also is dhcp-server and

PXELINUX and PowerSave Mode ...
We have a lot of diskless Linux clients which are booting via PXELINUX or ETHERBOOT. The problem is that they are on for 24 hours and APM PowerSave mode works for ETHERBOOT only. But in the future we want to use PXELINUX only, which seems to have no features for APM or ACPI PowerSave included. Would it be possible to integrate such features in PXELINUX or is there a way to boot a special image

Bootable 2.88MB floppy image
I would like to be able to create a 2.88MB bootable floppy image to hold the kernel and initrd -- will be used for automated install. In various newsgroups there have been many posting attempting to describe how to achieve this, but none of them is complete. Can syslinux be used to achieve this? What about memdisk? Thank you in advance. Fet

Intel 82557-based Integrated Ethernet PCI (10/100)
HI zytor, I hope you can help me. I have above network chipset on a Mitsubishi im-2000 mobo. I don't see an actual chip on the mobo w/ this ID so I suspect it embedded in the mobo BIOS or in one of the 3 Intel chips. I am attempting to use LTSP to boot a workstation w/ above NIC chipset. It has imbedded boot to net software (Intel Landesk service agt v.99b) using PXE. I can't get it

Binomial simulation
Hi Guy's I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. dbinom(10,1,0.25) I am using dbinom(10,1,0.25) to calculate the probabilty of 10 judges choosing a certain brand x times. I was wondering how I would go about simulating 1000 trials of each x value ? regards Brendan -- View this message in context:

LLD release note
I'm compiling a release note for LLD, and I'd like to get you guy's input about the status of the following subsystems. - Current MIPS support - Current AArch64 support - LTO I think AArch64 and LTO are added after the last release, so everything we've made so far should be in the next release note. MIPS's situation is different though. Rui -------------- next part

[FORGED] Re: identical() versus sapply()
Hi Jeff, We are splitting hairs because R is splitting hairs, and causing us problems. Integer and numeric are different R classes with different properties, mathematical relationships notwithstanding. For instance, the counterintuitive result: > identical(as.integer(1), as.numeric(1)) [1] FALSE Unfortunately the reply-to chain doesn't extend far enough -- here is the original
