Problems with eepro100 or BroadCom NetXtreme and syslinux 2.04
Hi all! We use pxelinux for booting a diskless Linux from whitch we install all our systems. But we discovered some Problems: - With v1.75 the Kernel is fetched from the TFTP-Server with no problem, but it gets not started on Broadcom NetXtreme with newer PXE-Bioses - With v2.04, pxelinux even seems not to be able to fetch the kernel from the TFTP-Server. This affects also Intel's

VMWare ESX mboot.c32
Hi. VMWare has an own/modified mboot.c32, which is capable of using Configfiles. This mboot.c32 is on every Installsystem for their ESXi hypervisor install-iso. Until syslinux 4.07 this works with pxelinux out of the box. Since 5.x this mboot.c32 will not work anymore. There seem to be more modifications than only a parameter "-c". Does anyone has an idea what has changed so this

Re: update the rom of eepro100
The syslinux at linux.kernel.org mailing list is obsolete; use syslinux at zytor.com. pierre-yves.verdon wrote: > hi again, > for the install of redhat on hp 1000r and a compaq dl360 > at boot i have different version for the boot agent: > > hp 1000r: > boot agent 4.0.14 > PXE 2.0 build 082 > > compaq dl360: > boot agent 4.0.17 >

iSCSI offload with Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5709.
Hello all. We recently purchased HP Proliant DL380 G7 server and also a HP Lefthand P4500 G2 24TB iSCSI box. The server itself has Quad Ethernet based on the BCM5709 Chipset from Broadcom (NetXtreme II). My main question is about iSCSI offload mechanism, as iSCSI itself is pretty new to me but I have gotten a good hold on it tho. I have managed to setup and configured our Lefthand box into

EFI/PXE boot on Oracle X5-2
Hello all, I am seeing the same symptoms described here by Holger Baust on 5-Feb-2015. The only differences in our setups that I can see are that Mr. Baust claimed to be using HP DL380p Gen9, whereas I'm on an Oracle X5-2, and Mr. Baust claimed to be using vlan tagging, while I am not. Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 bnx2 bridging problem
Hi, I''ve run into the same issue as: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2006-07/msg00599.html In that, running the network bridge script kills networking completely, trying to ping the gateway gives me destination host unreachable. The card is: 09:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 11) Using the bnx2 module:

Problem with Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 bnx2
Hi, I have a Dell PowerEdge 1950 with two NICs Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5708 1000Base-T. I installed CentOS 5.1 and Xen 3.0.3 (RPM). One of my virtual machines has Windows 2003 Server. In this virtual machine my NICs appears like "Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC". The problem is that when I ping to other machines sometimes the reply time value is very high: C:>
