pxelinux and SMP kernel strangeness...
I'm not sure if this is a PXELINUX issue or not. If it's not I appologize. I've been setting up a mixed remote boot, local data disk environment and have most of it working. The problem is that when the machine hp/compaq dl360 boots, only one cpu seems to be active as reported by /proc/cpuinfo. However, the same machine when booted to a locally installed kernel (same kernel)

Hello, I am running R 2.6.1 on windows xp I am trying to fit a cox proportional hazard model with a shared Gaussian frailty term using coxme My model is specified as: nofit1<-coxme(Surv(Age,cen1new)~ Sex+bo2+bo3,random=~1|isl,data=mydat) With x1-x3 being dummy variables, and isl being the community level variable with 4 levels. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the standard error

current state of pxelinux for UEFI...
If they are useful, then one should note where they can be found and how to extract them for anyone not using a Debian-based distro. pxelinux problem
Hi. I'm hoping that someone on this list can help me with my problem. I've been looking on my own for a question for the past few hours at least, so hopefully this isn't just a FAQ. Anyhow, my problem is simple (to describe). The NIC's boot agent gets an IP address (verified with dhcpd), gets the pxelinux boot image and correct configuration file (verified with tftpd), and then

Loading Xen with PXELinux
Greetings: [ First, apologies if this has been discussed before. I looked through about the last year's worth of archives, but couldn't find a "Search feature", so I used the visual grep method, which is not foolproof. I also tried to download the full text of the archives to use the real grep, but I got an error loading it... ] I'm working on setting up the Xen virtual

A rhetorical question would then be: how many times I should/shall/must explain the same procedure and post the same links. I have been

pxelinux.0 not fully booting in EFI 64 mode...not requesting ldlinux.e64 via TFTP...
Spike, There are multiple binaries that come with syslinux. I would highly recommend that you start with the official syslinux pre-built's of pre-7 on kernel.org. You will find inside an syslinux.efi in a 64 bit folder and one in an 32 bit folder. These are the files that you need to point your clients to for efi booting. pxelinux.0 is for bios booting only. current state of pxelinux for UEFI...

Debian's packages can be downloaded and used by anyone, even without having Debian as OS. Even Windows' users can do it. That's similar to downloading and using the upstream archive of Syslinux, whichever OS you are using. The

If you have the "handle unknown computers" off on your M$ Distribution point, then you can still use regular WDS which runs next as a PXE filter (DLL linked into WDS) to fire off

Report of incompatability [pxelinux] - (long ago fixed)
I've been using pxelinux for automated installs, and it works well. I'm using it on SUSE Linux 8.1, and it has been going well until recently. The TFTP, NFS, and DHCP servers are all on the same system. It uses PXELINUX 1.69 (part of SYSLINUX 1.62 I believe). It installed systems to my slimline Compaq Deskpro Pentium IIIs just fine. Recently, I ran it on a Compaq Deskpro Pentiums
