Shearing in screenshots of DirectX?
I'm trying to take screenshots of the Dawn of War game through Wine. The game runs fine and under Windows it has a built-in screenshot function that dumps a JPEG to a sub-folder.
Under Wine the game never gets the print screen request because Compiz or Metacity hijack the signal first and start Gnome-Screenshot. Sometimes the screenshot is okay, but other times the screenshot has

Screenshots - how to?
Hi
Ok this might sound a bit dumb but I wanted to submit a screenshot for World In Conflict. This runs quite well in DX9.0c mode in WINE 1.3.5. 8)
Uhmm anyway the problem is visual artefacts in the screenshots that are not present in the game (blocky colour banding, etc.). I presume it's just the keyboard printscreen button frame capture app. is catching partly drawn OpenGL frames.
So how

Re: Screenshots - how to?
OK
More problems folks. I can't screenshot Crysis - which I am doing to test a possible shader regression - in the latest Git.
I am using:
Code:
#!/bin/bash
for (( c=1; c<=1000; c++ ))
do
scrot --delay 30 --quality 50 --thumb 58 "~/Pictures/screenshot($c).png" --exec 'rm \"$f\"'
done
I have also tried (in place of Scrot with appropriate switches

compact flash, fat, reduced knoppix and syslinux
Hi.
I've recently picked up a 256MB compact flash card and
CF->IDE adapter.
I'm wanting to put a smaller version of knoppix on
here. I came across miniknoppix here:
http://www.inittab.org and decided to have a play
around with that.
So far I have opened up the ISO image and copied all
the files out. I have put a boot sector onto the CF
by putting the CF into the IDER adpater then

making automated console screenshots
Hi,
has one of you implemented something that records the current VNC
console view periodically?
I''m thinking of the following setup:
- find out how to make a vnc session from cli that just snips one
picture and logs off
- do that every minute
- set linux systems to have the panic=60 commandline option
- if a VM goes to crashed or shutdown state, stop saving new pictures,
archive the

screenshots & wxruby apps
Hi
I''ve added a page to the wiki to show some screenshots opf the wxRuby
samples:
http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/wiki/wiki.pl?ScreenShots
I''d like to get some screenshots for OS X to add to this, if anyone
