Problems booting PXE-Client
Hi list,
I have installed DHCP, PXE and the TFTP-Server tftp-hpa. I'm running Debian
Woody on my server and I want to boot a PXE-Client with this server. I have
installed all as it is described in the docs found on the net.
Under root:
/tftpboot/
/tftpboot/X86PC/linux
/tftpboot/X86PC/linux/messages
/tftpboot/X86PC/linux/linux.0
/tftpboot/X86PC/linux/vmlinuz

PXE Boote clients on two interfaces
Hi list,
how can I setup a PXE-server for two interfaces?
The server has eth, eth1 and eth2. On eth1 and eth2 are remote boot clients
which use the pxe service. I tried to start the pxe server twice with two
different configurations. But it doesn't work. Please help.

PXE-E55 ProxyDHCP - No reply to request on port 4011
Hi:
First - pxelinux works great - got it up and running
with few problems.
However - I ran into a snag, I am assuming I have
a configuration issue. Here are the details.
Using: syslinux-1.75
dhcp-3.0pl1
tftp-hpa-0.29
A lot of what I have done is from:
http://frank.harvard.edu/~coldwell/diskless
dhcpd.conf:
# DHCP configuration file for DHCP ISC 3.0

PXE boot from Windows XP
Yes, you are missing these options in the DHCP server:
66 'Boot Server Host Name' (the tftp server IP)
67 'Bootfile Name' (pxelinux.0)

Booting with PXE on Intel Pro GT
Hello all,
I must admit that I am new to the Linux/PXE world, and so, am still learning a lot. I am currently in the 2nd semester of a senior project at Weber State University in Utah, trying like mad to get a diskless Beowulf Cluster up and running. I was given a grant to purchase 4 nodes running this equipment:
Pentium D dual core Processor
MSI 965 Motherboard
Intel Pro/1000 GT PCI adapter

PXE boot hangs after trying to load cfg/<max address>
Hi,
i'm trying to get my VIA Epia with VIA Rhine ethernet device to boot
PXELinux. I have done this before, but now i can't get it to work.
The machine loads pxelinux.0, i see some messages. But it fails just
after trying reading the first config file (the one with the mac
address). It kinda says this (transcribed):
CLIENT IP: 192.168.1.23 MASK: 255.255.255.0 DHCP IP: 192.168.1.93

Setting up and helping debug EFI PXE booting
Phil,
I gave a presentation last month on how to set up a DHCP + TFTP server.
Using syslinux 6.03-pre* to support both Legacy and EFI PXE boot.
Here's the link to the presentation. My slides are there.
http://2014.texaslinuxfest.org/content/creating-legacy-efi-pxe-server-using-pxelinux
The presentation models a small lab-sized env. I start simple; supporting
legacy PXE boot only. Then

Client can't boot
Hi,
I'm trying to configure PXE syslinux to boot a diskless client but the
client can't find the PXE boot image. I've configured the DHCP server
as follows:
----------------------------
# cat /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf
option domain-name "cluster.net";
option domain-name-servers 10.0.0.1;
default-lease-time 6048;
max-lease-time 604800;
log-facility local7;
subnet 10.0.0.0

PXE Booting linux on a Dell Poweredge SC1435
Hi,
I'm trying to boot via TFTP using PXE, and it gets an IP, and "TFTP ."
flashes before disappearing, and the machine hangs.
This TFTP server and DHCP setup is known to work with many other machines.
Can anyone help me debug this problem?
What can I do to make the pxe output more verbose?

Has anyone any insight as to why RedHat Enterprise Level 5 is broken as far as PXE booting is concerned.
Hi ALL
Has anyone any insight as to why RedHat Enterprise Level 5 is broken as far as PXE booting is concerned.
Is there a Protocol communication problem ????????
Are there alternative tftp-severs that work for the RHEL5..
It seems:
the PXE CLIENT when booting cannot access files in the "pxelinux.cfg" dir
RHEL4 works just fine !! ( kernel 2.6.9-22.EL) with

PXE booting WinPE with UEFI architecture
With the BIOS architecture, I was used to boot WinPE from PXELINUX. I used
4 different ways:
1- Calling windows' native PXE loader directly from the config file with a
'kernel' line.
2- Calling windows' native PXE loader with pxechn.c32.
3- Loading an ISO with memdisk
4- iPXE project's wimboot, which relies on memdisk
Methods 1 and 2 are slow because loading the bulk of the

about pxe booting, no boot filename found
hello,
I have a problem about pxe booting.
I have two isolated machines, one(server) has got dhcp and tftp servers
working correctly ( I am pretty confident with this). The other machine
(client) using floopy to boot with pxe-request. The problem is, the client
cannot get the bootfile("/tftpboot/pxelinux.0"), it always report no boot
filename found. I also found the IP address, which
