smb access through cipe tunnel
Hi,
during the past weeks i tried to set up a network through a cipe tunnel,
building a vpn to some road warriers. With few words, the tunnel is
etablished, and at the tcp/ip level everything works fine.
NET A : 192.168.0.0/26
NET B : 192.168.102.0/26
trans-net : 192.168.101.0/26
in ascii-art, it looks like this:
eth0:192.168.0.5
+-----------+ cipcb0:192.168.101.1

Nope, that's unsupported. We need to key various things off the
IP address + mask used for the NIC, so you can't have multiple
nets with the same address + mask.

try 2: group setting doesn't work
Yesterday i had it working, today it breaks.. :(
But at least i've turned on logging and can pass you the relevant
section of the log ;)
When i try to connect to the share 'web', NT throws an error 'The
specified group does not exist' and refuses to connect.
I'm using virtually the same smb.conf file;
I've tried it without the first 3 lines in [global], same

Re: Need help with [virt net-create]
Thanks Daniel.
Why was I trying to do something like this ?
Two reasons
1. I was referring to ( Figure 18.4. Virtual network switch running dnsmasq)
https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html-single/Virtualization_Administration_Guide/index.html#sect-network-protocols
that appears to be two virtual nics sharing the same IP range .. !!!

FW: IA64 test report: 2.6.8-rc1 /tiger 2004-7-20: Boot Hang!
Originally, the test is on a tiger with RHEL installed. The fs is ext3 as default.
Then the oops came up.
I've installed the test kernel on another tiger with Suse, reiserfs as default.
The kernel can boot successfully without any trouble.
Is it a known issue? Or what causes this happen?
thanks,
-zhen

Quota utilities version 3.13.
Compiled with RPC and EXT2_DIRECT
Bugs to mvw at planets.elm.net, jack at suse.cz
are there any special versions out there for v2 quotas?
thanks,

Hi list,
having used ext2/3 for years now I have to admit that I've never dealt
with filesystem quotas yet. But now I want to use them and I'm rather

Creating an array [0 to 101] of a list
Hi
I looked, but I didn't find it:
I need an array [0 to 101] where each element is a list (the result of
Kest in spatstat).
I.e. I want to do:
A[2] <- Kest(pp1)
A[3] <- Kest(pp2)
...
A[101] <- Kest(pp100)
How can I create A ?

Samba 101 help
Hi,
I saw this setup on the web .. is this looks right to you ?
The security set to user level, which use linux samba local login and
password.
Why this needs to set workgroup = SAMBAGRP ?
[global]
workgroup = SAMBAGRP
security = user
passdb backend = tdbsam
Thanks

Syslinux Digest, Vol 101, Issue 26
Thank you.
Can I find any BIOS interrupt to wait on packet arrival NIC interrupt that
can be used in COM32 program?
And, how do I extend pxelinux.0 that enables this feature in PXE UDP RECEIVE
INTERRUPT?
Is gPXE has such kind of interrupt?

Unknown RTP codec 101 received
I updated to the latest CVS tonight and now DTMF
detection does not appear to work on my Cisco 7960 sip
phones (can't check voice mail etc). The asterisk
console is displaying these messages over and over
again any time a DTMF tone is sent:
NOTICE[15376]: File rtp.c, Line 292 (ast_rtp_read):

GrandStream BudgeTone 101 Question
I know there are several folks hanging around the list that resell VoIP
products, I'd be interested in getting your info off-list as I'm trying to
persuade someone to get me a budgetone 101 for Christmas ;) I've checked
the yahoo site, and they seem to only carry it in white.. Ideally, I'd
like blue, so if you have it, please let me know.
Also, I've been watching the list for

budgetone 101 and buttons
I just got a Budgetone 101 and I have it hooked to my * box. I thought I'd
read somewhere that we can program the buttons on these phones to send DTMF
tones, thereby effectively programming them.
However, according to the user's manual, they have predefined SIP
functionality. My dialplan implements the festures I want (transfer, message,
stuff like that), so for uniformity, I'd just

Polycon IP 300 SIP vs Grandstream BT-101 Deployment
Hi,
I have just completed the deployment of a couple of Grandstream phones
(for internal IP use) and was wondering how much harder it would be to
deploy a Polycom IP 300 phone. The Grandstream was quite easy to deploy
and gives us good voice quality over DSL, however from some of the
previous posts I am see that some people had troubles with the Polycom
300. The variant I am looking at
