Speex ARM4 patch
The attached patch eliminates some warnings while compiling for ARM4
targets. It also simplifies the asm constraints a bit. Now we can use
the ARM4 optimisations when compiling for PortalPlayer targets in Rockbox.
Cheers,
Dan

Since update of January 15th Left 4 Dead 2 (steam) crashes
Hi all.
I was using wine 1.3.10 to run Steam and Left 4 Dead2 successfully until recently. Last week, there was an update for Steam, and now I can't start Left 4 Dead 2. It starts up, but then immediately crashes. The window "Preparing to launch Left 4 Dead 2" pops up, and then disappears. It worked flawlessly last Sunday, and yesterday it stopped working.
I am getting the same

pxelinux - loading vmlinuz and initrd.gz
Greetings,
Hopefully a quick question.. I have been experimenting with
pxelinux and have noticed the following, when using initrd.gz
- vmlinuz needs to exist 'tftpboot' directory,
else I get an error from pxelinux.
eg. kernel/vmlinuz
- vmlinux also needs to exist in initrd.gz
(in the same relative path eg. kernel/vmlinuz)
else Linux is not booted.

Install stops seeing USB CDrom
I have sought information on this in the past.
I have a decTOP that I can install DSL on with no trouble from my USB
DVD/CDRW drive.
Centos won't. Neither 4.4 or 5.0
The boot starts, the CD is being read. After I respond to language, it
stops saying it can't find the CD.
If I go the linux askmethod approach, I can 'see' it loading the install
image from the CD, it goes

cdrom driver load attempt at boot
Hi there,
I've been using ext3 on RedHat 7.1 for some time and I'm very pleased with
the result. Thanks for all the hard work people have put in it!
I have however one problem: when the machine boots up it tries to load the
mcd and mcdx CD-ROM drivers (AFAIK they are old non-standard CD-ROMs). It
does this from rc.sysinit right after loading usb devices. The machine
started to do

Re-mounting guest CDROM
I am trying to install multiple patches from CDROM. However the eject cd function does not work and if I umount /dev/cdrom it's gone forever unless I re-start the guest.
Any suggestions?

Catraxx and default cdrom drive
Hi,
Newbie alert:
Moderate experience with managing a private headless Debian server, a few weeks experience with Ubuntu AMD64 10.10 and a few hours with Wine, version 1.3.6.
Main reason for installing wine is that I want to run Catraxx v7.32, a windows-only CD database program.
Installing wine was easy; installing catraxx with minor issues but it runs OK now without problems.

How to eject cdrom bound to a paravirt domU
Hi!
I would like to use my cdrom-drive in a paravirt domU, so I made the
physical blockdevice available for the domU.
Unfortunately the drive''s door is locked as soon as the domU is started
and I haven''t found a way to open it without shutting down this domU.
I tried the following disk-configs:

Which driver to use so that Windows can use the CDROM
Hi,
I''m running WinXP under Xen on RHEL5. With RH''s last set of patches,
Windows no longer seems to be able to use the CD-ROM. I''m told that I
have an "unknown PCI" device connected and two "QEMU QEMU CD-ROM"
connected. There should be only one CD-ROM visible to Windows
(actually that''s all that is on the physical box). WinXP

wine reading iso images as cdrom ?
Hello all,
I keep iso images of my most commonly used cdroms on the harddisk so I
don't have to find them. Can I set up a cdrom drive in my wine config that
points to the isos, and have wine think its a cdrom drive ?
Thanks,
Andy
