Re: update the rom of eepro100
The syslinux at linux.kernel.org mailing list is obsolete; use syslinux at zytor.com. pierre-yves.verdon wrote: > hi again, > for the install of redhat on hp 1000r and a compaq dl360 > at boot i have different version for the boot agent: > > hp 1000r: > boot agent 4.0.14 > PXE 2.0 build 082 > > compaq dl360: > boot agent 4.0.17 >

Problems with eepro100 or BroadCom NetXtreme and syslinux 2.04
Hi all! We use pxelinux for booting a diskless Linux from whitch we install all our systems. But we discovered some Problems: - With v1.75 the Kernel is fetched from the TFTP-Server with no problem, but it gets not started on Broadcom NetXtreme with newer PXE-Bioses - With v2.04, pxelinux even seems not to be able to fetch the kernel from the TFTP-Server. This affects also Intel's

localboot not working in PXELINUX 2.02
Hello, We're using the PXELINUX to boot remote kickstart and Linux rescue images. Recently we got some new hardware (Compaq DL360) which required me to upgrade from PXELINNUX 1.75 to 2.02. Everything works fine on the new hardware, but the "localboot 0" option now just hangs on some of our older boxes. Specifically, our "Tyan Thunder 2510" motherboards with integrated

Timing source on SMP system - Disable RTC forzaprtc
Kristian, I have 2 X100P cards but neither work on my Compaq DL360 G2. The system will not even boot! Take a look at my initial post and let me know if you have any other advice. Regardless, thanks for your post! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - I need a timing device for the DL360G2 for conferencing and meetme. For a timing device I have 2 X100P cards

Boot problem HP/Compaq DL360 G3
The machine in question is a DL360 G3 R03 Xeon DP 3060-512/533 (part number: 322471-421). It's the first HP-branded model we've had so far (previously all Compaq branded). It has 1Gb of memory and a couple of drives on the on-board SCSI controller (setup for mirroring in the SCSI bios). No SMP is setup right now (doesn't get far enough to do anything with it!). In any case, this

Problems with eepro100 or BroadCom NetXtreme and s yslinux 2.04
This sounds kind of like what happened with me for earlier attempts at using syslinux. Skip using HPA's tools entirely and dd if=vmlinuz of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k count=1 and make sure that the kernel runs from a floppy disk. There'll be no file system or anything, but you'll make sure that your kernel isn't faulty. If it doesn't execute, then you can avoid the syslinux/pxelinux

Can't create mirrored LVM: Insufficient suitable allocatable extents for logical volume : 2560 more required
I'm trying to setup a LVM mirror on 2 iSCS targets, but can't. I have added both /dev/sda & /dev/sdb to the LVM-RAID PV, and both have 500GB space. proxy server - ipcop vs CentOS
I have purchased a used Compaq DL360 which I was going to use as a proxy server. Presently, we are using a cheap box with ipcop which is working fine but it didn't have much RAM (64MB), etc. This new box we will want to run squid and perhaps dansguardian for filtering (this is a non-profit company) and I'm wondering if I should just put ipcop on it or would it be smarter/better to install

pxelinux and SMP kernel strangeness...
I'm not sure if this is a PXELINUX issue or not. If it's not I appologize. I've been setting up a mixed remote boot, local data disk environment and have most of it working. The problem is that when the machine hp/compaq dl360 boots, only one cpu seems to be active as reported by /proc/cpuinfo. However, the same machine when booted to a locally installed kernel (same kernel)

cpu leveling on opensource xen on sles
We currently run xen on sles11sp1 and sles11sp2. Our hardware is HP Compaq DL360''s. We originally started with G6''s, but now we''ve grown and have G7''s and G8''s in the mix. We don''t do a lot of live migrations but is convenient to be able to at times. Is there any type of cpu leveling that can be done so live migrations will work with servers

Timing source on SMP system
I need a timing device for the DL360G2 for conferencing and meetme. For a timing device I have 2 X100P cards but neither will work in my DL360G2. The system will not even boot with either card in the system. Other PCI cards seems to work fine. I called Digium support and was told that there must be a conflict between the card and my Compaq DL360G2. I then moved on to ztdummy. I'm sure the

panic: vinvalbuf: flush failed
Hi, We have a pretty serious problem with our news server crashing during the expire cronjob. This happened with 4.7-RELEASE, so we upgraded to 4.8-RELEASE recently, hoping that the problem might be fixed, but it isn't. The machine is a Compaq DL360-G2. I've searched the PR database as well as the mailing list archives for the panic string, but didn't find anything. What makes the

Timing source on SMP system - DisableRTC forzaprtc
Yes, I tried adding an adaptec that I thought was uhci. This didn't work. I didn't check the specs but figured that they would be uhci given the history of ohci. Regardless, I will confirm with adaptec. hardware support
We have had some problems bringing up SLES10/Xen on DL360 box (dual processor). The Compaq boxes have this notion of "auto" mode for MPS/APIC to deal with buggy OSes and under this setting (which is the default setting), vanilla Linux (2.6.16) comes up on this box in UP mode since it finds the local APIC disabled in bios. However, the xen based kernel tries to come up MP and fails in a

imap limits please ?
Hello, Finally managed to sync an outlook client to dovecot. Looks like it's working. Questions though ; : What are the limits? Number of Folders ? Number of mails per folder ? E.g. for a client of mine, I know that she uses about 5Gb of data at the moment (and counting). Now, this same outlook client consists of the following : 1. about thirty (30) folders ranging from 1000 messages per

odd pxelinux/tftp-hpa problem
I haven't encountered this problem before. This is from a Compaq DL320, with Intel Boot Agent 4.0.17 and tftp-hpa-0.28 running on Solaris. The PXE stack gets its IP address just fine, but it times out on the TFTP. While snooping on the Solaris box and grepping for TFTP, I found that the box gets one block of the TFTP transfer just fine. TFTP Read "pxelinux.0" (octet)
