Asterisk 1.4 remote pickup
Hi. I have several Asterisk 1.4.21 machines, each with ISDN cards in them, and Polycom SIP phones on people's desks. Making / receiving internal / external calls works fine - no problems. We're using 4-digit extension numbers in the offices. I'm trying to work out how to provide a remote pickup facility along the following lines: - phone extension 2233 rings - person at

Replacing variables in one dataset with those from another
Hoping someone out there can help me...this seems like an easy task but I can't figure it out... I want to replace variables in one dataset (Dataset1) with a variable from another dataset (Dataset2). All the values for variables x1 and x2 in Dataset1 have a unique match to the variable uniquenum in Dataset2. For example, in Dataset1 grpnum A has a value of 343 for variable x1. In Dataset2,

Table orderd by frequencies
Dear List, I try to order the output of a table by the frequencies of the vector I am look at. The object I am looking at is a factor with a lot of levels that were named only once. Therefore it would be much easier to order the output by the frequencies of the levels. E.g. > levels(a) "a" "b" "c" "d" Preferred outcome: table(a) b c a d 10 5 1 1

rsync is concatenating the files together
I am seeing a really odd problem with Rsync 2.6.2 and 2.6.3. I am trying to rsync a directory containing some 2gb files from a Solaris 9 NFS server to a Solaris 10b69 NFS client. Rsync is running on the Solaris 10 client. Here is the source directory as seen from the client: Source directory: -rwxr--r-- 1 root priv 1270666114 Jan 3 2004 FLY.GHO* -rwxr--r-- 1 root priv

R benchmark, moble Pentium III, 1.13 GHs
Hi Jason, I suppose you installed the Matrix library, and it is working on your computer? If yes, may be det.Matrix() was removed, or renamed in the Matrix library you have (I cannot check this for the latest version, because I am away of the office until August 1st), but I will do that next week. In the meantime, you can replace 'det.Matrix' by 'det.default', and it should run.

[cfe-dev] proposal - pragma section directive in clang
Thanks Reid/Jonathon for your replies. Reid, An important case against module level flags is that it wont allow changing or resetting section names e.g. int a; #pragma clang section bss = "xyz" int b; In case above, users would like to see only 'b' placed in 'xyz' and not 'a' as well. Link pointed to by Jonathon seems to require same behavior.

Selecting a database from the application itself?
Hi everybody, I just started thinking about a project and am seeking some help regarding its design. The idea would be to create labels (i.e. address labels).I could let users type the text manually, but I dont think they would appreciate that when they''ll want to print 5000 addresses. I can also probably let them import csv files, that should not be a problem, but playing with those
