Centosplus repo for apt-get?
Is there a centosplus repo I can use with apt-get, or do I have to rely on
yum for centosplus?

Fasttrack Repo on CentOS 4
A quick question on the fasttrack repo which is now
up to date with upstream. Why is the fasttrack repo not
in the main CentOS-Base.repo file but contrib which has never
had anything is included in the main CentOS-Base.repo file?
The goal of CentOS is to be binary-compatible with upstream so
fasttrack is "more important" in this regard than contrib.
Upsteam ships with the main channels

Centos 4.3 and Card Reader
CentOS 4.3 (fully updated, including CentOS Plus kernel).
Running KDE 3.5.2 (fully updated from redhat.kde repo).
I can't seem to get the OS to recognize my SD card when inserted into my USB
card reader. Mepis 6 Beta 3 has no problem with it. DMESG sees nothing
happening when the card is inserted. USB-STORAGE module is loaded.

matching two plots
Hi,
I have a problem about graphics. I would like to plot two graphs: a barplot
and curve. Here is the code:
> barplot(dpois(0:45,20),xlim=c(0,45),names=0:45)
> curve(dnorm(x,20,sqrt(20)),from=0,to=45,add=T)
Both graphs are drawn in the same figure, however the scale in both graphs
dooes not match. For some reason the second plot is shifted to left. I
think there is a problem

Wow, that is an upsteam commit from 2005.
However, I would like some kind of explanation. Is it in fact now
false that
| # These don't cross-compile
?
Should this patch go upstream ?

RHEL 7 Beta is now public
Hi,
http://ftp.redhat.com/redhat/rhel/beta/7/
Go get it ( maybe consider using a mirror ), play with it, test it, and
file reports. Dont use it in production.
As in the past, we highly encourage people to use the official beta
builds from Red Hat and to report issues at http://bugzilla.redhat.com/
Within CentOS, we are going to do a CentOS7Beta1 build to match the
release upsteam, and do it in

gecko-libs dependency resurfaces
In doing an update of centos 5.2 this morning, I observed that the old
gecko-libs dependency issue caused yum update to fail because it was
required by nspluginwrapper (x64_86), devhelp, yelm and firefox. Also, a
firefox (x64_86) showed the red hat splash screen rather than centos.
Manual installation of affected rpms using --nodeps (I don't advise this) did
not apear to impair the

wiki contribs 4 centos
Hello Gents,
I feel I should do more for the community and contribute writing the
occasional wiki article to improof the overall centos experience.
Having worked for the upsteam .src provider for nearly 7 years I should be
able to do so...
Hope you'll open this up4me
Cheers,
Steff

The mirrors are missing the headers folders which prevents up2date from working.

large packet support in netfront driver and guest network throughput
Hi All,
I am sure this has been answered somewhere in the list in the past, but I can''t find it. I was wondering if the linux guest netfront driver has GRO support in it. tcpdump shows packets coming in with 1500 bytes, although the eth0 in dom0 and the vif corresponding to the linux guest in dom0 is showing that they receive large packet:
In dom0:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr

Indeed!
It seems that the people relying on our apt service wouldn't bother
much where we move it to. So, I'm ok with any solution that replaces
the functionality.
