wine and lpia architecture
I have a question, I had installed kubuntu jaunty in 386 architecture and wine runs games well good (I have an acer aspire one NETBOOK). Recently i have installed the version of kubuntu lpia, everything is fine, but when you install the version of wine for lpia some games that run well on 386 dont run in lpia. My question is that if I report the bug here or in the ppa where does the installer.

Ubuntu PPA changes
I've created a new PPA in which to maintain the backported versions of
the latest Debian packages to Ubuntu releases:
https://launchpad.net/~xapian/+archive/ubuntu/backports
The reason for this change is that the existing PPA is stuck using a
GPG key created when the PPA was first created a decade ago. This
is a 1024 bit RSA key using SHA1 as the hash, and that's not really

hi urgently need help.
Hi everyone
Last night I set up ubuntu 6.06 - on a virtual machine. I installed wine and wine doors on it to test run a software or too - before making a switch to ubuntu ultimate edition next week. However wine and wine doors are not working.
I used the links below to register on software properties and I included the authentication keys

Outdated r-base-core when installing on Ubuntu 14.04
On Ubuntu 14.04 the following commands worked to install R 3.0.2 (after
adding Rutter's PPA):
sudo apt-get install r-base-core
sudo apt-get install r-recommended=3.0.2-1ubuntu1
sudo apt-get install r-base=3.0.2-1ubuntu1
For anyone else trying to run R on a linux distro through Crouton on a
Chromebook: there is a catch for ubuntu - when installing packages in R,

Ubuntu Dapper packages
Hi all,
Daniele Favara was kind enough to package Xapian (and Pinot :-) for Dapper
and Xubuntu. I understand Daniele used cdbs to build these packages.
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/devel/cdbs
I am not sure if the differences with the official packages built for Debian and
Breezy are significant...
Anyway, if you would like to give them a go, add the following to your
sources.list :

Stir-Shaken for asterisk
A few weeks... like in a year and a few weeks:
https://transnexus.com/blog/2020/fcc-mandates-stir-shaken/
Some interesting bits in there as well, like:
"These rules do not apply to providers that lack control of the network
infrastructure necessary to implement STIR/SHAKEN."

Moving to R 3.0.0 on Ubuntu
This is a post I just added to my Ubuntu R Blog
(http://www.personal.psu.edu/mar36/blogs/the_ubuntu_r_blog/2013/03/moving-to-r-300-on-ubuntu.html).
As you may (or may not) be aware of, R 3.0.0 is [scheduled to be
released](http://www.r-project.org/) on April 3rd. Since this is a
major release and there may be some growing pains (but I hope not) in
the move 3.0.0, here is some information

Stir-Shaken clarified
https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/STIR+and+SHAKEN
The Wiki above is misleading in what Stir-Shaken means and how it works.
End users cannot get a certificate, they cannot self-certify their calls.
Somebody completely misunderstood the model. I am afraid the moment will
come and thousands of Asterisk operators will be unable to terminate calls.
To start with, the model is a hierarchical

Question about Sip Trunks who support Stir Shaken
I am looking for a decent provider of SIP Trunks but it has to pass the Stir
Shaken token to the next carrier. Does anybody know about any? Sipstation
from Sangoma, does not support Stir Shaken. ( Case #01466843 /
0013000000G8PLG / MAIN / Open [ ref:_00D306mPe._5004U1BlBLF:ref ])
Although it's mandatory, somehow they think it's ok. Go figure.

Thanks to everyone who has responded (esp. Michael, I greatly
appreciate but also recognize that getting R on my machine is not your
career). Your last response was (basically) uninstall, reboot, retry
Synaptic, if no good try:

r-cran-rgdal: dependency on libgdal1 unsatisfied in ubuntu 12.04?
Hi
I am trying to install the rgdal package through r-cran-rgdal (I had
added the ppa), and run into an error in Ubuntu 12.04:
r-cran-rgdal : D?pend: libgdal1 (>= 1.9.0) mais il n'est pas installable
in English, libgdal1 1.9 does not seem available in Ubuntu 12.04 (I
think version 1.7) comes.
And indeed, a:
$sudo apt-get install libgdal1
Gives also an error message, saying libgdal1
