more than one repo with --disablerepo
What's the correct syntax for something like the following: yum check-update --disablerepo=dag ivazquez Extras Misc this runs "dead" and doesn't do a check-update. Use kommas? Something else? man just tells to use glob exp, but what about multiple repo's? Kai -- Kai Sch?tzl, Berlin, Germany Get your web at Conactive Internet Services: http://www.conactive.com

Shrinking a ext3 filesystem ?
I installed CentOS on my home-server with 2 IDE 160GB MAXTOR HDD / RAID-1, LVM and ext3 partitions. Previous OS on this machine was FC2. I often "play" with LVM and, sometimes, have to extand or reduce some volumes size. I was surprised to see that resize2fs isn''t included anymore ! The replacing tool is ext2online but this one seems to only be able to grow a filesystem (not

Installing on Abit BE7-RAID
I have RH 8 running on a Abit BE7-RAID motherboard. My task is installing Centos 4.1 with limited knowledge on installing with hardware RAID. The arrays are still in place for the two pairs of drives. HighPoint only shows drivers up through RH 9. Is there anyone who can take me through the steps? Remove the existing arrays? Will the drivers work with Centos 4.1? Since I used Windows to

Multiple versions of software
I have a user who wants a version of Perl built with -Duse64bitint that is accessable as perl64. I've pulled down the src.rpm and I'm going through the perl.spec file looking to see what all needs to be changed. So, before I really screw up my system, I thought I would ask if anyone here has any particular advice. Help? -- Matt

Dovecot 1.0.something rpm for CentOS?
Is anyone using successfully a specific rpm of Dovecot 1.0.something? There's nothing on dag and a few on rpmfind (for Fedora Core), but I don't know if they'd work. The one coming with Centos 4 (0.99.11) has quite a few bugs and I'd like to put an upgrade on top of it. ant RPM for CentOS 4
Attempting to build OpenOffice 2 on CentOS 4 from rawhide (future FC5) SRPM. The spec file has EL4 target (which is nice), and I got almost all dependencies in place (mostly from 4.2beta and some from rawhide). However, I'm missing the ant package. Ant from rawhide doesn't compile since it is already gcc 4 based (fails on dependencies, getting it to use gcc4 instead of gcc seems like
