Dear Charles,
Thanks for your quick reply, but I can't install nut_2.7.2 in my raspberry.

unpack:
dpkg-source -x nut_2.7.2-1.dsc
3) I use command
root at pi1:/nut/nut-2.7.2# debuild -us -uc .
..
And I have the following error code:

debian package from svn / errors and non working debian rules
Hello,
I tried to build an debian package from svn. First I checked out trunk
and the 2.3.2 branch, which both build this quite "old" package :-)
icecast2_1.9+2.0alphasnap2+20030802-1_amd64.deb
Then I tried the kh branch, which doesn't build with dpkg-buildpackage:

RV: About your driver NUTDRV_ATCL_USB(8) for install
I think I may be of some help in this matter. Since I am running a
bunch of Raspberry Pi's with NUT and it took a lot of hacking to make
it possible. You could probably copy and paste this right into a
shell script and just run it ...
# Do an rpi-update FIRST to prevent USB strangeness

Quoi D'Neuf, a beautiful Pinot Noir from the Loire
This bottle of Quoi D?Neuf by Herv? Villemade, a primeur from the Loire, was a real pleasure, a thirst wine that you sip without second thoughts and restriction to the last drop : This Pinot Noir with a bit of Gamay is fruity, gouleyant and fresh. This proves that even tasted several months after its release, a Vin Nouveau can deliver. It arrived on the market on the third thursday of november

Dtracing scsi
A small script to see what SCSI commands are being issued by a system:
http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/chrisg?entry=scsi_d_script
Still work in progress as I needs to handle larger CDBs but it is a start, since I don''t have a disk that big it is not a problem for me yet.
Also getting the return scsi packet is a hack but so far I can see no alternative short of knowing about all the

New Ubuntu Breezy and Dapper APT repository - stop using sourceforge!
Greetings folks,
Since the sourceforge apt repository is woefully limited to just one
distribution version, and because it is exceedingly slow and times out a
lot, budgetdedicated.com has graciously donated us a blazing fast server
to host the fresh Ubuntu packages.
To use the APT repository, simply edit 'sudo
gedit /etc/apt/sources.list' and then add the following lines, depending

Relicensing Xapian
This is an update on the current status of the relicensing, but also an
opportunity to give feedback. Sorry it's rather long, but I think it's
necessary to summarise the situation - there are probably list members
who weren't even born at the start of the history of this!
Xapian is currently licensed as GPLv2+, but isn't something we actually
chose for Xapian, but rather due to a

Wine goes insane after dapper upgrade
Hi.
I upgraded from Breezy to dapper using update-manager and now the fonts in
wine have gone insane.
It looks like something similar to Wingdings has become the standard wine
font.
Anyone know how I might fix this?

I can access mysql via the terminal and I can open R and perform various basic tasks.
However, I cannot install the RMySQL package in R. I get the following error:

Trying to install R on Lucid Lynx
Hi:
I installed Lucid Lynx amd64 on my system today, dual booted with Win 7.
I've managed to install several packages through the Ubuntu Software
Center with success and also installed texlive. Alas, installing my favorite
software has not been so joyful. I went through the last few months
of posts in this group to find something similar, but to no avail.
After a couple of false starts, I

Capistrano deployment issues under Ubuntu Dapper

New to Linux (Xubuntu) - Install Oxford Thesaurus + Dict?
Hello all,
I am a brand new user of Xubuntu. Please assume I know nothing worthwhile about how to do anything with Wine or Xubuntu - I am a rookie. With the help of various forums - I've been able to do quite a bit so far - but only with their good directions, or I'd be lost.
I've read your pages and see that some versions of Oxford's dictionary and thesaurus have run on older

RFC on first public draft of 'Debian R Policy'
r-devel and debian-devel readers:
Below is a draft for a suggested policy for R packages within Debian. In the
six years that we have been maintaining R for Debian, the total number of R
related packages has grown to a full thirty -- eleven based on the main
tarball released by R Core, as well as nineteen contributed packages --
reflecting the work of five different Debian maintainers.
