buffered tables, sessions, and transactions
Quartz has a QuartzDiskTable class which is a thin wrapper for a pair of Btree objects (or just one if the table is opened readonly): http://www.xapian.org/docs/sourcedoc/html/classQuartzDiskTable.html There's also a QuartzBufferedTable class which adds memory buffering of changes to this: http://www.xapian.org/docs/sourcedoc/html/classQuartzBufferedTable.html However, as of 0.8.0 we now

xapian core missing link to math on MSYS2
Dear All, I've tried to build xapian-core 1.4.3 on MSYS2. It fails with attached error (undefined reference to `exp10'). I think it might be missing an explicit link to 'm'. I'm not able to fix this myself as I do not know autotools sufficiently well, but I hope you might be able to help. Cheers, Mario Emmenlauer -- BioDataAnalysis GmbH, Mario Emmenlauer Tel.

Deprecation
Yesterday I updated the deprecation.rst document such that I think it contains all the items which are slated for deprecation (and also contains full details of the upgrade suggestions, as Olly suggested). I've marked several things which have been deprecated for a long period of time (ie, since 0.9.0 or earlier) for removal in 1.0.0, in line with the policy outlined in the document. If

ucs2 build of xapian?
Hi folks-- I'd really like to try out Xapian on my current server setup (Debian Sarge, Apache2, mod_python, django, postgresql, psycopg2). Problem is, my Python is compiled as ucs2, which is incompatible w/Xapian. I've tried recompiling Python w/ucs4, but it inevitably breaks psycopg2 (which I've blitzed & reinstalled on top of the new Python build, seems like dozens of times
