nutdrv_qx interface change proposal item_t::preprocess
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
I would like to propose an interface change/extension, in order to be
able to clearly differ from a PRE_SEND and a POST_RECEIVE
item_t->preprocess-ing calls.
IMHO there is no option to differ from item->preprocess(..), called from
[1] and called from [2], at the moment. My idea is to extend the
item_t->preprocess(..) with an additional

Out of memory on lmtp vsz_limit
How about you try moving the mail into another folder on daily basis,
this way the INBOX would stay nice and empty.
doveadm move -u archive at company.com Archive MAILBOX INBOX SENTBEFORE

Out of memory on lmtp vsz_limit
Hi,
We've been getting these types or errors for quite a while now ...
Fatal: master: service(lmtp): child 63477 returned error 83 (Out of memory (service lmtp { vsz_limit=4096 MB }, you may need to increase it)
... and these errors have been decreasing in occurrence as we increased the default_vsz_limit. Which is good but I would like to get some advice on how I could possibly eliminate

Thanks - my host uses SSD and everything seems pretty quick, but I'll
give it a 1 second pause.

Panic on alway_bcc mail with attachment while using sdbox
I do always get a panic on service lmtp, while receiving a mail by postfix through always_bcc, containing an attachment. If the bcc recipient would be supplied by a small delay, I would say that the panic wouldn't occur, but I don't know how to verify this.
dovecot is configured with 'mail_attachment_dir' and the public namespace location is sdbox

Problems of preserving file owership and uid&gid options in rsyncd.conf
Hi,
I am trying to transfer some files to a remote rsync server. I have to preserve the ownership of these files in the remote server for future possibility of copying them back.
The command I am using is:
rsync -Cav /var/log/mp3log server2::var/log/mp3log
I have tried to add -o and -g options but still can't reach my purpose. I also remember to add a same user name to the remote rsync

[LLVMdev] Getting rid of the DoesntAccessMemoryFns and OnlyReadsMemoryFns tables
The DoesntAccessMemoryFns and OnlyReadsMemoryFns tables are used
by alias analysis to specify which standard functions don't access
memory or only read memory. However gcc now automatically supplies
this information to us. I checked on my x86 linux box what gcc gives
for the functions listed in those tables. While gcc mostly agrees
with them, there are the following differences (using

some questions on dovecot or rather a mail system setup
Hi folks.
Perhaps you find some time to look into this,... if you think I should
better direct this do some dovecot mailing list,.. just tell :)
I'm trying to plan my mail system and would have some questions.
The overall idea is about the following:
- There is a (internet) server, which is the MTA (which will be postfix)
and imap and/or pop3 server (which shall be, guess, dovecot!).

Sieve also filter outgoing messages
Greetings,
A probably simple question and answer: can a sieve script be executed on
outgoing messages? I already use deliver on postfix, perhaps the sieve
script could be executed when saving to the Sent folder?
Regards,

Half Million features Selection (Random Forest)
Hi,
I have about half million binary features, and would like to find a model to estimate the continous response. According to the inference, I can express predictors and response by linear model. (ie. Design matrix: large sparse matrix with 0/1. Response: Continous number) Since it is not a classification problem, someone suggested me to try random forest in R. However, in the randomForest help

data analysis for partial two-by-two factorial design
David:
I believe your response on SO is incorrect. This is a standard OFAT (one
factor at a time) design, so that assuming additivity (no interactions),
the effects of drugA and drugB can be determined via the model you rejected:
For example, if baseline control (no drugs) has a response of 0, drugA has
an effect of 1, drugB has an effect of 2, and the effects are additive,
with no noise we

data analysis for partial two-by-two factorial design
Dear R users,
I need to analyze data generated from a partial two-by-two factorial design: two levels for drug A (yes, no), two levels for drug B (yes, no); however, data points are available only for three groups, no drugA/no drugB, yes drugA/no drugB, yes drugA/yes drug B, omitting the fourth group of no drugA/yes drugB. I think we can not investigate interaction between drug A and drug B,
