Dovecot HSM
Hi. I'm looking for a tutorial/how-to for a HSM (Hierarchical /Storage/ Management). keeping old messages for a user in a cheap storage and recent messages in a faster one. I see on dovecot2 wiki an alternative for hsm as "Alternate storage", but I don't now if it's a good solution for me. The expected result is a faster imap/pop access for new messages on a

searching with chinese chars
Hi all, maybe not a Ferret question, but I assume here might have came across that already. I wrote a simple CGI app that adds docs into a Ferret index. The idea is testing asian languages input and searching. The script that does the input seems to be OK. As David mentioned in a question I made a little while ago, Ferret''s index is agnostic, in the sense that you can store anything in

script to detect dictionary attacks
Hi has someone a script which can filter out dictionary attacks from /var/log/maillog and notify about the source-IPs? i know about fail2ban and so on, but i would like to have a mail with the IP address for two reasons and avoid fail2ban at all because it does not match in the way we maintain firewalls * add the IP to a distributed "iptables-block.sh" and distribute it to any

Re: Dump network traffic from each VM.
Hi Daniel, I changed the libvirt code to support "-net dump" because it is more comfortable to me and to users here. I don't know if it is interesting to the community, but... most of the code is ready if someone needs. Julio Cesar Faracco 2016-05-05 10:34 GMT-03:00 Daniel P. Dump network traffic from each VM.
Hi guys, Does anybody know how to dump the network trafic from each virtual machine using libvirt? Here, we usually use VPN softwares and other network tools inside Virtual Machines (Windows and Linux). Sometimes, this applications does not work properly, so we need to dump the network traffic of each Virtual Machine to compare and debug. How can I enable it using libvirt? I know that if you

Problems seeking with liboggz
Hi, I intend to use Ogg+Speex for voice recording/playback in a VoIP app. I am experimenting with liboggz to get acquainted with its API. As test files I am using some Ogg-Speex files converted from WAV files with speexenc.exe. I wrote a little testing app in Visual Studio 2010 under Windows 7. I defined OggzReadPage and OggzReadPacket callbacks with oggz_set_read_page()

index returns all results for specific queries
Hey all, I''m getting some really weird results when searching documents. It *seems* to be somehow related to the document format I''m using. I wrote a small script to replicate it: ################ #!/usr/bin/ruby require ''rubygems'' require ''ferret'' include Ferret index = Index::Index.new(:path => ''/tmp/fooindex'', :key

Problems seeking with liboggz
Hi, The Ogg-Speex test file I used is CBR. I am sure of that by running oggz-dump on the file and confirming that all audio packets have 38 bytes; that means (for narrowband) a constant 15 Kbps. I wrote a very basic test program in Visual Studio 2010 that demonstrates the strange behaviour I mentioned. The output shows that the audio file has 8 pages, 6 of them
