System hangs while removing disc from d1000
For tests purpose, I have connected a D1000 on a small V120 pizza box with Solaris 10 with recent patches.
To simulate disk crash, I removed a disc from the D1000, but after that, using zpool status makes the system hang. Only power cycle helps.
I found the following link:

Dovecot 2.1.0 packages for CentOS 6 / RHEL6
Hi,
First, Timo, Thank you for Dovecot 2.1.0.
I've built Dovecot 2.1.0 RPMs including Dovecot-Pigeonhole 0.3.0 for
RHEL6, CentOS 6 and Scientific Linux 6.
If anyone is interested in testing these RPMs:
http://oss.imt-systems.com/mstevens/el6/dovecot/2.1.0/
Feedback would be appreciated.
After some testing, we will use these RPMs on our IMAP servers.
Best regards,

Problem Solr and centos 7
Thanks Shawn for your reply
I tried to bring the heap size to 5gb as you would like, but the problem
was not solved.

I'm not sure how to configure this but in the 90-plugins.conf file I
configured this:

2.0.X -> 2.1 pitfalls?
Hi all,
are there any pitfalls known for the migration from 2.0.18 to 2.1?
Can I simply stop dovecot, make install and start again?

Back to apcupsd
Ok, so another apc UPS 3000 complained about bad batteries, and I changed
them out from the same order that I'd gotten in a couple of months ago.
The APC SmartUPS 3000 started connecting and disconnecting the USB
connection. I brought down and up the service, no joy.
Finally, after googling, I found a *completely* undocumented way to start
apcupsd, that a few years ago someone was told to

Help on not matching object lengths
Dear All
I have the following code set up:
Code #1
a <-matrix(seq(0,8, by = sign(8-0)*0.25))
b <-matrix(seq(8,16, by = sign(16-8)*0.25))
c <-runif(1000,50,60)
d <-exp(-c*a)+exp(-c*b)
This will give me the obvious error message of lengths not matching. What I am trying to do here is to have 33 rows x 1000 columns d values calculated in total. As an eaxmple for visual, this is what

Problem Solr and centos 7
Hi everyone
Given that I am not an expert, I am doing tests with Solr, I installed
following the guide but I have no benefits on the search, the search on
the body on 28000 mails takes a few minutes and then goes to timeout.
I had installed version 8.2.0 of solr then I thought that there is
something not compatible with centos 7 so I installed version 7.7.0 as
an example on the guide

Partial deadlock in 4.9p1
I've just had a 4.9p1 system partially deadlock for about 30 minutes
and then spontaneously(?) recover. The "ps" results point at vinum.
I've never seen this before and don't recall anything like this being
mentioned here before.
At the time, I had two find's running in a large NFS mounted
filesystem and was doing a "cvs -d /usr/ncvs -R checkout -P ports"

Performance-Tuning
Hi,
I have > 11 TB hard used Mailstorage, saved als maildir in ext3 on HP EVA.
I always wanted to make some mesurements about several influences to the
performance (switch to ext4, switch to mdbox), but I never had enough time
to do that.
At the moment I *need* more speed, we have too much waitI/O on the system
and I already used all other performance and tuning-tricks (separated cache,

Proper / Improper scoring Rules
Hi All,
I am working on some ordinal logistic regresssions using LRM in the
Design package. My response variable has three categories (1,2,3) and
after using the creating my model and using a call to predict some
values and I wanted to use a simple .5 cut-off to classify my
probabilities into the categories.
I had two questions:
a) first, I am having trouble directly accessing the

External SATA drive enclosures + ZFS?
Hi all,
Space is starting to get a bit tight here, so I''m looking at adding
a couple of TB to my home server. I''m considering external USB or
FireWire attached drive enclosures. Cost is a real issue, but I also
want the data to be managed by ZFS--so enclosures without a JBOD option
have been disgarded (i.e., I don''t want to use any internal HW RAID
controllers).

Who would use Asterisk SS7?
Hello. I am new to this forum. If this issue has been discussed already,
please inform me, but my STFW have indicated that it has not.
If SS7 were available on * would it make commercial sense to use it? There
are case studies on the web (courtesy of the Death Star :->) for ISPs with
10,000+ subscriber lines showing clear cost savings in transitioning from PRI
to SS7 controlled IMT. My

Hi,
Does Asterisk, provide the option within its voice mail system to be able to do the following: We want to have an option to be able to have two mail boxes on one ext. For example: we want to be able to have a French Mailbox and a English one...
So I can say the following...
You have reached ext 000 to continue this message in French press example 3 - and it would then go to my French
