LDA and auth-userdb socket permissions
Hi,
   just wanted to check this as the wiki seems to have contradictory
information. With respect to running the LDA as multiple UIDs the wiki
says:
If you're using more than one UID for users, you're going to
have problems running dovecot-lda, as most MTAs won't let you run
dovecot-lda as root
But in the example for the config file the text reads:

Segfault on ".C" registration via R_CMethodDef according to 'Writing R Extensions'.
Dear R List,
I encountered a serious problem regarding the registration of ".C" when following the documentation "Writing R Extensions"
that leads to a segmentation fault (tested on windows and mac os x).
The registration mechanism for ".C" routines via R_registerRoutines and
the R_CMethodDef structure has been enhanced recently with the
addition of two fields, one

For Loop performance
Hello,

Newbie question and hope you can help .
I have two vector V1 and V2, where length(V2) = length of (V1) * 2;
length(V1) ~ 16,000.
For each member in V1, I need to compare 2 element of V2 for equality

i.e.
for (I in 1:length (V1)) {
     if ( v2[i] == v1[i] & v2[i+1]==v1[i] ){
          statement_1
          statement_2
          .
     }
}

This for-loop is too slow

S4 initialize methods, unexpected recursive callNextMethod
Hi,
Given a simple three class hierarchy: A <-- B <-- C
I want to define an initialize method for each class such that when I
call new("C", x=5), the initialize methods for A and B are used to
incrementally build the object.
When I do what seems obvious to me using callNextMethod, I get an
infinite recursion.  An example follows...
setClass("A",

mbox empty messages in Sent folder
I'm talking about mbox Sent folder, where some mailers append through
imap server
a copy of each message they send.
Sometimes, just three header lines got appended instead of the whole
mail message, such as:

Panic/backtrace in dovecot 2.2.13
Hi
I'm running into regular problems with dovecot choking on "corrupted"
index files. The main problem is that it doesn't sort itself out and
recover. This message below is repeated regularly in the log files
(until I delete the index files)
I *think* the trigger to get into this situation might be a files being
delivered with incorrect S= values in the filename? Which

asterisk and Broadvoice Outgoing Again :(
Hi,
I can't make outgoing calls via Broadvoice. I have tried each and every
configuration that was posted to list previously.
I am able to receive incoming calls fine.

Trust problems after upgrade from 3.5 to 3.6
Hello.
My setup:
_ one Samba 3.5 domain (XXXXXXXX), with a PDC and a BDC, both running
FreeBSD;
_ one AD domain (YYYYYYYY) running on two Windows 2003 DCs;
_ bidirectional trust between the two domains.
Everything used to work until I moved the PDC from Samba 3.5 (EOL'ed) to
3.6; now, users from domain YYYYYYYY cannot access the PDC's shares.
I used to have in smb.conf:

problems mounting smbfs
I've spent the last 2 days trying to get smbfs to mount via fstab.
Using redhat 7.3 and the latest samba as of 7/17/02.
I can mount from the command line using smbmount as follows:
smbmount //localhost/wwwshare /smbwww -o username=smbuser,password=xxxxxxxx
I can not mount from the command line using:
mount -t smbfs -o username=smbuser,password=xxxxxxxx //localhost/wwwshare /smbwww
