doveadm
Hi
Where does this utility reside for installation. I use Ubuntu and installed dovecot-imapd and dovecot-pop3d so far. Does it now ship in the regular dovecot installation packages?
Thanks.

Maildir
I noticed in Cyrus they seem to address maildir++ recognised by IMAP.
I need to know does Dovecot recognise this format?
Procmail has an ability to deliver mails to different folders which
if unrecognised renders the whole process useless.
Does Dovecot have a similar deliver method?
Thanks.

Mail_location and formats
Hi,
Ok I know that the Maildir hierarchical structure works because I saw it intermittantly in my setup. At times I could look at ALL folders in my client.
mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir:LAYOUT=fs
http://wiki1.dovecot.org/MailLocation/Maildir
this says 1.1 only?
My maildir folder has a collection of maildir folders ie each has cur new tmp folders. As an experiment I took the cur new tmp out

file permissions
Dovecot 1.2.12 maildir format using :LAYOUT=fs (my Mail dir came from KDE)
I can't remember the permissions of the /Mail/ directory because I haven't
been concerned with it too much until now. I think they were user:user or
user:mail. Now a new mail ends up 600 root:mail. (in alternate directories)
When I start my mutt client to the imap server it gets an error for any folder

dovecot.conf settings vs 'dovecot-n' output
I am curious why these do not seem to match?
It especially bothers me that the modes set are different.
Am I missing something?
Thanks.

1.2 problem 'dovecot -n' vs dovecot.conf
To elaborate, if there is a database associated with this setup it is really fubar.
note: tail of dovecot -n

debugging mail_location issues
Type of Maildir structure I am using came from KDE. No '.'s just folders.
something like
Maildir/
INBOX
mail-sent
outbox
other
where each has cur new and tmp folders.
if I access this directory with IMAP it creates cur new and tmp in the root.
ie
Maildir/
INBOX
cur
new
tmp
mail-sent
outbox
other
This implies to me
1. it finds the Maildir directory
2. it apparently does not

Released Pigeonhole Sieve v0.1.17 for Dovecot v1.2.12
Hello Dovecot users,
The new Dovecot v1.2 release is a good occasion to release a new
Pigeonhole Sieve package with some relatively minor bug fixes.
Changelog Sieve v0.1.17:
- Made sure source code positions for compiler messages are recorded
at start of tokens.
- Fixed a few potential memory leaks in the Sieve compiler and the
spam/virustest extensions.
- Made command line

Menu - labels
Webgen uses file paths to generate multilevel menues, bread crumbs etc. And
limits the character range in paths to a-zA-Z. As the directory names are
used verbatim as menu labels this is fairly limitting for non-english pages.
Is there a way to map directory names to configurable UTF8 strings for menu
labels?

[LLVMdev] build failure on ARM linux
Why is his configure not catching this? It tests for the linkability
of these functions on the target arch, and should be detecting their
absence if that is actually the case.

view specs with partials
When I first learned about the View specs I was very excited. I
still am. However, I haven''t found them useful yet for one reason.
They throw the following exception when ever a view renders another
view, which is very common.
ActionView::TemplateError in ''Event View message''
No rhtml, rxml, rjs or delegate template found for spec/rails/

[LLVMdev] build failure on ARM linux
llvm/lib/System/Atomic.cpp contains the call to
__sync_val_compare_and_swap that lowers to the missing
__sync_val_compare_and_swap_4 GCC intrinsic.
The same file contains several other __sync_* calls and all these has
to be implemented if we want to be able to compile llvm on linux/ARM
with GCC versions below < 4.4
xerxes at labbserver:~/llvm$ grep _sync lib/*/*
lib/System/Atomic.cpp:
