How to map email addresses to usernames?
Hello, I have a general question about userdb and passdb lookups, in my case related to driver=sql. The documentation and most examples in the internet seem to assume that a user's login username to access a mailbox is identical to his email-address, or at least to the local-part of this email-address. This setup works fine. But I don't understand how to setup dovecot, when login

GSSAPI and usernames, not Kerberos ticket names
Hi all, I've got a Dovecot v2.3.3 IMAP with GSSAPI auth set up. This server is in main domain, 'contoso.com'. I also have several subdomains. My problem is usernames with GSSAPI authentication: When I try to login as 'user' or as 'user at CONTOSO.COM' - everything works. But, 'user at contoso.com' auth fails. But when I try to login as subdomain user,

usernames with capitals
Hi, im new to the list, so bear with me if this was discussed earlier! For historical issues we need to maintain usernames in all capitals ie. CD our test environment is running centos 3.4 - our live environment is on redhat 8.0 the useradd program won't allow me to create a new user with capitals, and usermod wont change a lower case user name to upper case! What is my options now ? - do

Kohonen's SOM in R?
Is there an implementation of the SOM ('Self Organizing Map') procedure in R ? I am aware of the implementations of Sammon mapping, multidimensional scaling and, somewhat peripherally, principal curves and projection pursuit .. but not SOM per se as far as I can see. Am I missing something? --------------------- for anyone interesed in SOM I found Samuel Kaski's thesis

SV: usernames with capitals
--NoDisclaim-- I cant use an editor to mass update and change usernames as this is a part of an automatic useradd routine written in an ancient legacy application which calls useradd and usermod, we have been using this software for more than 15 years, so its hard for me to argue for a rewrite, so im forced to bend the OS instead it isnt a problem on redhat 8.0, so somewhere in the patches for

Rggobi pdf output
Good day everyone. I have a question concerning *ggobi* and *rggobi*package. I am using R version 2.13.2 and Ubuntu 11.04. I am new to ggobi and I'm reading the book *Interactive and Dynamic Graphics for Data Analysis *. The book was published 2007. My question is: how can I export a graph for *rggobi* to pdf to include it in latex. For example: I have lots of variables in ggobi and I need to

SOM object manupulation
I am trying to use SOM package to cluster some gene expression data. I got stuck with 2 questions and can't not find any documents to resolve these matters. I would really appreciate if anybody can shed some sort of light. Q1. I clustered the data using SOM function and plotted it using plot function. But I can't figure out how I can list the data elements belongs to different clusters. I

postfix+dovecot and usernames different to e-mail addresses
Hi, I want to replace an old mailserver setup with postfix+dovecot. The problem I'm facing now is, that the old system had usernames different to the e-mail address of the user. For example: E-Mail-Address: foo at example.com Username: foo-example.com I configured postfix so that it passes mails to dovecot using the following command (master.cf): dovecot unix - n

predict.kohonen for SOM returns NA?
All, The kohonen predict function is returning NA for SOM predictions regardless of data used... even the package example for a SOM using wine data is returning NA's Does anyone have a working example SOM. Also, what is the purpose of trainY, what would be the dependent data for an unsupervised SOM? As may be apparent to you by my questions, I am very new to kohonen maps and am very grateful

Help with SOM membership
Hi all, I originally posted this to the bioconductor group, but maybe it's better suited to the r-help... I'm using som() to partition samples of gene expression data into clusters. The point is to classify control vs. experimental cases (sample clustering). The original matrix was 22283 x 8. The 8 samples have 4 controls and 4 experimentals. I transposed the matrix so that its dim

Problems mapping winbind/kerberos usernames and groups to Linux user and groups.
Samba 3.0.1 on Mandrake 9.1ish Kerberos version seems to match latest stable MIT build. I can log in via Kerberos authentication and/or winbind. A couple of problems though. 1) telnet with the domain username and password and the telnet session doesn?t reader /etc/bashrc. Telnet with local username and it does. bash is the shell for both accounts. 2) The group account is ?Domain

postfix+dovecot and usernames different to e-mail addresses
Thank you for this hint, but no, that does not work. Does Dovecot really use this user_filter when postfix passes mail using the dovecot-lda command? I now tried it with user_filter = (&(objectClass=qmailUser)(|(uid=%u)(mail=%u))) and when I search with this filter in LDAP directly (using the recipients e-mail address as %u) it returns the wanted user. I also ensured, postfix

Runtime error
Hi everybody! I try to implements Self-Organizing Maps with R and the Kohonen package. I have made an algorithm that try differents width and height. For each step, Silhouette index, Davies-Bouldin index and Dunn index are computed. However, there is always after severals minutes a *Runtime error* appears on the window: Microsoft visual c++ runtime library "this application has requested

[PATCH] nouveau/drm/fifo: fix ENG_RUNLIST register address
Address of the ENG_RUNLIST register should be 0x002284 + (engine * 8), not 0x002284 + (engine * 4). Signed-off-by: Alexandre Courbot <acourbot at nvidia.com> --- Stumbled upon this one and I'm quite certain the offset was not correct. This is inconsequential for GK20A which only features one runlist, but other GPUs might run into troubles because of this. Not tested, just reported for

Rare Cases and SOM
I am trying to understand how the SOM algorithm works using library(class) SOM function. I have a 1000*10 matrix and I want to be able to summarize the different types of 10-element vectors. In my real world case it is likely that most of the 1000 values are of one kind the rest of other (this is an oversimplification). Say for example: InputA<-matrix(cos(1:10),nrow=900,ncol=10,byrow=TRUE)
