dsync convert Maildir -> mdbox, separators in subscriptions file
Hello, I'm playing around with Dovecot 2.0 beta 4. If I use dsync to convert a users mail stored in Maildir format to mdbox format, the subscriptions file in the new mdbox is created using the wrong mailbox separator ('.') leading to folders within folders not being readable by clients using the subscription feature. Excerpt from IMAP: . LIST "" "*" * LIST

dsync is seriously broken when syncing maildir and mdbox
Hello, I thought mdbox was production ready, but it seems to me that (in 2.0.4) it's quite broken. 1) The documentation only running this to convert from maildir to mdbox: *dsync mirror maildir:~/Maildir* but based on my experience and on posts on the mailing list, it's not enough. A namespace has to be defined and it's not clear whether / or . should be used as a separator. I

dsync and smooth conversion of Maildir to mdbox
Hi, I was experimenting with dsync for Maildir to mdbox conversion. Two isses arised there: * "subscriptions" only contained subscriptions of that namespace, all others were lost - Is there any configuration missing on my side? * "dovecot-acl-list" and "dovecot-acl" shares/permissions were not synced; UPDATE: if I also add "acl" to

weights vs. offset (negative binomial regression)
[Please keep r-help in the cc: list] I don't quite know how to interpret the difference between specifying effort as an offset vs. as weights; I would have to spend more time thinking about it/working through it than I have available at the moment. I don't know that specifying effort as weights is *wrong*, but I don't know that it's right or what it is doing: if I were

How to dsync mdbox compressed to maildir uncompressed
Hello, we are using doveadm sync to export mdbox to maildir format, so we can use an external tool to convert into an pst file. Since we have enabled zlib compression doveadm sync always exports the maildir gzip compressed. Are there any ways to prevent the doveadm sync to export the maildir compressed ? Have tried this: doveadm -o "maildir_copy_with_hardlinks=no" sync -u imap at

mdbox, dsync
I finally migrated my mails from mbox format to mdbox format using dsync: 1. Stop dovecot, wait a few seconds for processes to die 2. dsync convert mdbox:~/mdbox 3. Change mail_location to mdbox:~/mdbox 4. Check that no new mails arrived during conversion (alternatively I could have just run dsync again, but I decided not to test my luck) 5. Start dovecot After fixing a pretty bad bug in dsync

Optimised qmf_synth and iir_mem16
Hi all, I've taken preglows ARM versions of qmf_synth and iir_mem16 from rockboxes speex codec, and tweaked them a bit further for some more speed. I attach them here so you can review and take on any changes you want. Please let me know if you have questions etc. Thanks, Robin -- Robin Watts, Email: <mailto:Robin.Watts@wss.co.uk> Warm Silence Software, WWW:

dsync mbox->mdbox II: highest_modseq changed
Hi again, after replacing CRLF in 4 mboxes dsync was able to sync all of the 30+GB mailstore to mdbox. Now the (repeated) calling of dsync yields info messages of the kind dsync(athimm): Info: old/speicher: highest_modseq changed: 1 != 10 dsync(athimm): Info: root/root-heretic: highest_modseq changed: 1 != 10 dsync(athimm): Info: lists/ccrma.stanford.edu/planetccrma: highest_modseq changed: 11

dsync mbox->mdbox: Unexpectedly lost From-line and other issues from a big conversion.
Hi, I'm trying to convert a 33GB mail store from mbox to compressed mdbox (largest mbox is 2.7GB). The source store is live, e.g. there are mails delivered into it and mails are being read. Actually it is my own mail. :) Although my test runs were very successful I have run into trouble with the first run on the whole store. After fighting a bit around with errors like Error: Trying

Doubts about dsync, mdbox, SIS
I've been running continous dsync backups of our Maildirs for a few weeks now, with the destination dsync server using mdbox and SIS. The idea was that the destination server would act as a warm copy of all our active users data. The active servers are using Maildir, and has: $ df -h /usr/local/atmail/users/ Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/atmailusers

Missing tick marks bug on alpha solved
On some systems (alpha), tick marks don't appear on plots. The easiest way to see the problem is something like: > plot(0:1,axes=FALSE) > axis(1,1:2) The problem is in X11_Line(...) from .../src/unix/devX11.c, which is so short I've included the whole function below: static void X11_Line(double x1, double y1, double x2, double y2, int coords, DevDesc *dd) {

Error in solve.default(diag(2) + ((1/currvar) * (XX1 %*% t(XX1)))) : system is computationally singular: reciprocal condition number = 0 In addition: There were 50 or more warnings (use warnings() to see the first 50) The R code is part of a bigger program. ##sample from full conditional

FreeBSD ZFS maildir to mdbox
Hello, I'm converting my mailbox from Maildir to mdbox.. The Maildir is from an 1.2 server. The new server is a virtual FreeBSD ZFS server. The conversion is not working, I'm getting either segfaults or the sync just quits with errors. I also did set with mmap_disable=yes. This didn't resolve the problem. How can I fix this? The same conversion on a virtual ubuntu 14.04 box works

dsync inbox conversion problem (mbox -> mdbox)
Hi, We are trying to convert all mbox mail on our systems to mdbox using dsync, in order to be able to use email sub-folders in Thunderbird. Everything works fine for non-inbox folders, however the inbox folders are not getting converted. We used: *dsync -v convert mbox:~/mail:INBOX=/var/mail/%u* *dovecot --version* 2.0.beta6 (3156315704ef) (shipping with RHEL6/SL6) *dovecot -n* #

Issue with mailbox conversion using dsync in v2.2.32 (maildir <-> mdbox)
Hi all, I've run into an issue with in-place mailbox format conversions between mdbox and maildir and wondered if someone could assist. When using dsync to convert a mailbox, the conversion loses a mailbox GUID and produces a warning. This behavior seems to have been introduced between version 2.2.31 and 2.2.32. See below for the full debug output from both versions followed by the dovecot
