Converting CLIENT_MAIL_DATA_MAX_INMEMORY_SIZE to a configurable?
Hi, Currently Dovecot's LMTPd writes incoming emails to mail_temp_dir if it's bigger than 128k. But I would like to spare those unnecessary operations (creating a file, deleting it, writing into it, reading from it, checking whether there is free space and if not, rejecting (temporarily) the message). Memory is cheap, disk IO is not. :) And BTW, on a lot of systems, /tmp is a memory

Upgrading from 2.0.8 to 3.0
Hi, Ahead of the Counter Strike performance discussion i want to know if there is an upgrade path for me to follow getting from 2.0.8 to 3.0. I would imagin that i just compile and install xen 3.0, compile the kernels, then create the domU''s from scratch and copy over the data... Anyone upgrade from 2.0.8? Crash in 2.0.8 dovecot/imap - information capture
My dovecot logs revealed a crash in the dovecot/imap process a few days ago. It appears to have dereferenced 0x00000004 in the storage shared lib. Unfortunately, I didn't get a core and I'm not sure how to reproduce it. Dovecot 2.0.8 on linux32. Two questions: 1) How can I be sure I get a core next time? I think it's because I run dovecot/imap under a mail uid and didn't have

2.0.8 & enable-header-install
Dear List, up to Dovecot 2.07 I used "--enable-header-install" for the Sieve Plugin when configuring Dovecot before compiling. With 2.0.8 I get the following message when running the configure script: "configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --enable-header-install" Is this intentionally? Is there a substitute directive for Sieve when compiling Dovecot 2.08? Rgds

dovecotpw missing (2.0.8)
Hello, I just installed dovecot version 2.0.8 from the source tarball. After doing ./configure, make, and make install, I don't have the dovecotpw binary anywhere. It is not in /usr/local/bin or /usr/local/sbin where the other binaries are; I also did a find / for it and don't see it. Is there some configuration flag I'm missing? I read the flags in ./configure --help and nothing

Hi everyone, I'm trying to upgrade/test our configuration files from Dovecot 1.2 to 2.0.11. ?I used the Dovecot config convert command, created a RHEL 5 x86_64 rpm, and tested it. ?I can connect, but once I login, the IMAP service segfaults. ?I've also reproduced this on version 2.0.8. Hi, I would like to upgrade my server from 1.2.16 with sieve and managesieve to 2.0.8 with pigeonhole. Will I get all functionality I was having before? leaving ports open for tftp
