mount problem
I'm trying to mount a windows share on my linux box. The windows machine is
on a domain called utsad.com and the name of the machine is ccare-f45 and
the share is Music.
I can do this:
smbclient -L ////ccare-f45//Music -U jtowe -W utsad.com
and get this:

Stepwise logistic discrimination - II
I apologise for writing again about the problem with using stepAIC +
multinom, but I think the reason why I had it in the first place is
perhaps there may be a bug in either stepAIC or multinom.
Just to repeat the problem, I have 126 variables and 99 cases. I don't
know if the large number of variables could be the problem. Of couse the
reason for doing a stepwise method is to reduce this

I am using Polycom 501s with asterisk 1.2.4.
When transfering to call parking wih "#1" -> 700 the user is able to hear asterisk tell him what extension the call was parked on. However, when I press "transfer" -> blind -> 700 . The user is not able to hear what extension the call was parked on. It seems like the polycom is hanging up before asterisk is able to

Would someone please point me to some reasonably current instructions
for getting greater than 1024x768 video resolution for a CentOS 6
guest on a CentOS 6 KVM/qemu host? When I search online I find stuff
from 2009 and 2010 saying, "For details see ...," and linking to a URL
that no longer exists, or pages that say, "You need to switch from VNC

ActionMailer - 550 Error - Net:SMTPFatalError
I have page on my site which sends out e-mails to all of our clients.
The idea is that if a client''s e-mail bounces, the server catches the
bounce message and flags the client (from the Rails Recipes book).
This works perfectly, except in the event that the destination domain
is my own. Since I''m running my own postfix server on the same box,
instead of accepting the

Configuration of LMTP Reject Code
Is it possible to change the reject codes from the Dovecot LMTP agent?
In particular I would like to change the "550 5.1.1 <...> User doesn't
exist." to a temporary failure, since we already validate email
addresses on the mail front-end, and such errors are most likely due to
a temporary glitch in the user database lookup.
We use Postfix on the front-end, which is very

dovecot howto?
Hi,
is there a *simple* HOWTO that explains a simple postfix+dovecot setup? Up
to now, I used postfix+cyrus, worked fine. But I do not get postfix+dovecot
to work. Currently, all emails go to /dev/null.
What really would help me is a dovecot lmtp server. Is there any?
Regards
Olaf

migrating from sendmail to postfix, centos 6 to centos 8
I have an email server/aggregator which delivers locally for root, and
all other emails in my domain. It sends outbound email to my isp
(networksolutins) masquerading as my domain via smtp. This is with sendmail.
It does not receive email from the internet via smtp. I use fetchmail to
get incoming mail from multiple email/isp's. I use procmail for local
delivery and serve emails using

According to the output of command
# doveadm log find
every type of message goes to the file I was looking at, "/var/spool/maillog".

AW: User unknown in local recipient table
Hallo Liste, hallo Ralf,
danke schon mal. Ja die Whitespaces sind beim Rausl?schen entstanden.
Ich verstand das so, dass das nun durch die address_verify_map erledigt w?rde. Muss ich dann entsprechend einfach auf die verweisen?
Ich versuchte gerade die
address_verify_map = btree:$data_directory/verify_cache
auf
local_recipient_maps = btree:$data_directory/verify_cache
verweisen zu lassen.

restrict postfix to only certain users getting incoming mail
Perhaps I am trying to do the impossible.
centos6, spamassassin, procmail, dovecot, postfix.
Postfix, by default, accepts all incoming mail to any user listed in the
shadow/passwd and alias files.
I cannot find a way to stop that without manually blocking each non
wanted user (like nobody, apache) without killing local delivery.
For most of the users listed in those files, who cares. However

setgid error
Hi all
Trying to setup dovecot with mysql and postfix, I have configured it
as given below. thecot user has the dovecot group as primary, and is
also a member of mail and dovecot-users. Still, it can't setgid to
dovecot-users. I tried changing the shell for the dovecot user to
something useful and chmod'ing a file to dovecot-users, and it work
well. Still, no mail comes through

that its checking for mail. if a put a test message locally on the server
I can pull the message down to my cell phone and other computers. But when
I try to a message from gmail or aol it doesn't come in to the server.
it always bounces back to the place were I sent it from

best choice of user database file to work with postfix?
I'm setting up a Postfix and Dovecot combination. What I want to do is have
a user database that (1) is not running from some engine (so not LDAP or SQL
or such) ... and (2) is completely disassociated from system users (e.g.
most email users are not in /etc/passwd and most /etc/passwd users are not
email users). Ideal would be a one-file solution, which can be managed by
text editing or

Struggling to get dovecot working with postfix auth
Hi,
I am trying to create an authenticated relay server using Postfix and Dovecot.
However I am having two problems :
(a) If I create a dovecot config entry as follows :
unix_listener /var/spool/postfix-authrelay/private/dovecot-auth {
group = postfix
mode = 0666
user = postfix
}
Dovecot is unable to create the socket ? I thought surely if dovecot is started as root it should

Deliver - Virtual users
Hello...
I have dovecot 1.0.10 running with users in an LDAP database. Things are
working as they should with IMAP.
However, I can't seem to make deliver w. postfix work they way I want.
My problems are:
Mail to users who do not exist in LDAP or locally are accepted and
mailfolders are created. I want mail to users that do not exist in LDAP
or locally to be rejected.
Mail is delivered

LMTP with virtual and system users
Hi,
I have a mailsystem where i have some local users with shell access and
full home dirs which receive mail and also several SQL virtual users
only for mail.
With the virtual users, everything works fine. Mail is delivered via
LMTP and also sieve works :)
The SQL Lookup knows what to do with username at domain.com
The problem is the system user. If exim delivers the mail to the lmtp
