deliver -m causes crash: Panic: stream doesn't support seeking backwards
When exim runs deliver -m and tries to write to a directory that does
not exist is causes a crash which stops the exim MTA.

Joining an AD domain when hostname != netbios name
I'm trying to join a RHEL5 host to an AD domain, and can do this
successfully when I set those hostname to the same value as the samba
"netbios name" parameter. However, when I try with a hostname !=
netbios name, it fails. Is it possible to join a machine when the
hostname isn't the same as the netbios name?
The reason for wanting this is because I have a whole load of servers

Migrating from Cyrus to Dovecot
Hi,
we are migrating from Cyrus 2.3.7 to Dovecot 2.2.13. We have ~7000
maildirs with ~500GB. Our goal is to do the migration without users have
notice and with the shortest service downtime. The users use IMAP (with
shared folders and ACL), POP3 and sieve filters.
As a first choice, we tried the Dovecot's dsync tool. First tests were
great, but we are not able to change the Cyrus auth

Request to Replace Recordplot ,, replayplot
Record plot which stores a plot to an internal R data structure and Replay
Plot which
replays the plot enables one to keep plots around and use them accross
sessions at least until version 3. If you cannot restore old plots and
treat them as data and save accross sessions, there is little reason for
recordPlot. Either R needs to dispense with internal formats entirelly, a
bad move in my opinion

Archive link:

But that patch is very different (much smaller) then the dsp c5x patch at

managesieve fileinto folder with international characters
I have a folder created in dovecot entered by the user as "??o??"
On the file system it appears as "&APEA8Q-o&AOkA6Q-" (mUTF7)
When creating a sieve rule, to file into the folder ??o??, I am converting
the name from UTF8 into UTF7, the rule becomes

Stopping precision using 'optim'
Hi all~
I am wondering if it is possible to alter the stopping precision for parameters estimated using the 'optim'?
If it helps, I am minimizing the log-likelihood of a function using constraints (i.e. L-BFG-S).

Split plugin config in diferents files
Hi all,
Is possible to split dovecot.conf with a very very big plugin {} section?
Maybe, some like apache with sites-enabled.d
Then, we could have a file per plugin.

Speex for TI 5509 DSP
I saw a thread in the list archives about a speex port to TI 55x DSP.
Wondering how that worked out (is working out)?
Also wondering if there is a source archive for it,
or if the patch in the email archives is still current, or if there's been
updates.
Any info appreciated.
Thanks
